Wah Wah wah, Daley was one of those its my way or the highway type guys, and when Obama didn't back him to the hilt, the crybaby resigned rather than try to build any consensus.

What do we expect from someone with a Wall St. Background?

In kindergarten, Daley's teachers probably called him someone who could not interact well with others. Maybe the same could be said of Rahm and other white house chief's staff, but at least they fought their own battles and had their own clout.

As ole give em hell Harry Trueman said, "if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen."

CoS is expected to be an extension of the President and his policies. He speaks for him and directs operations/policy.

If the boss will not back him; then he is no longer potent and should up and go.

Let the boss get someone that he will back to the hilt; who reflects the same ideals and intentions.

nobody wants a war with iran. this wouldnt be an iraq.. iran is a hardened economically sound nation with alot of very powerful friends. doing so would toss alot of her lesser allies into the laps of other world superpowers and pit the US against foes i KNOW you dont want any part of. the joint chiefs dont want any part of it yet we keep pushing the issue. i say back off, head home, STFU regarding iran and leave them in peace. besides ahkmadenajad (or however his name is spelled) doesnt even have any power. he can say what he wants all he likes, hes simply a figurehead of a bunch of lesser govt bodies. which would STILL retain power even if the US went in their and took him out as that's the way its worked over their for generations WITHOUT FAIL

No, it won't be an Iraq. It will be a month or two of mostly American air strikes and by the end of it the Iranian nuclear program and most of its military will have ceased to exist. No President or realistically potential President is stupid enough to involve us in the quagmire of nation building Iran, would be the end of their career.

Our President is not a dictator and nor should be his chief of Staff.

But I can somewhat understand your confusion, EK, Nixon and GWB did indeed act like they were dictators. And in a blast from the Past, Nixon's co chiefs of staff would up in jail.

Or more likely fleeing the sinking ship of this failed president.

Up next, he resigned to spend more time with his family. There will be more as they simply must distance themselves from this failure.

We do not need to do any nation building in Iran...what is the worst that could happen? Would an Islamic Theocracy take over the nation?

But in seriousness, the Monarchy and Democracy Factions have united together ever since the Shah's son said he wants to setup a Constitutional Monarchy, akin to England's.

no surprise. Your obama's record is so bad supporters can't even mention it. His re-election campaign managers and inner circle know this. Your obama's only campaign option is to go scorched earth negative.

The corruption in this administration is costing them COS, even Chicago political scum like Emanuel can't stomach it and leave. They jump ship before they can be tainted or indicted.

Rats from a sinking ship.

I'd really like to know who you think will beat Obama barring a catastrophic event between now and November. I just don't see any Republican challenging him. Your pal Perry won't get the nomination due to being borderline retarded, every time I see Romney I think about a used car salesman, and Gingrich is just angry all the time.

Mitch Daniels in 16!

The vote will be a resounding "not obama". Democrats are still scrambling to distance themselves from this administration. Remember in 2010, where they didn't even want his name mentioned or him coming to their district and campaigning?

What a conundrum for obama, anti-wall street supporters...

Obama's new chief of staff is someone who was an executive at J.P. Morgan Chase... and when this guy was at citibank... made a lot of money betting that all those subprime and easy to get mortgages would fail.

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs...roup-made-money-mortgage-defaults_616230.html

cue the apologists in 3 .... 2 .... 1

Not a conundrum at all. As a matter of fact I think it perfectly illustrates the main point of the anti-wall street supporters.

shrug.

So you're prepared to vote for Romney?

I know some Democrats did try to distance themselves from Obama, but many Republicans tried to distance themselves from Bush both in 2004 and 2008. It obviously didn't work or help McCain.

Absopotivielutely. Obama simply cannot be allowed 4 more years, our nation is doomed if he wins and the majority of the country realizes that and are supremely motivated to get out and vote against him. All my friends and co-workers are the same way - no matter who you vote for in the primary, make sure to keep Obama from winning the general. This election is make or break for the country, it's our last chance to save it.

He's done. Lame duck failed president and disgrace to this nation. May fuck be upon him.

Ole Shorty, Mitch will have a crowded bunch to deal with in 16.

You'll probably have Jeb, Chris, Marco, Ryan and Thune (sp?).

He is going to win, barring a catastrophic occurrence in the next 9+ months.

He would be done if the Republicans didn't have such crap running against him.

Mitch won't get the nomination. I know that. I'd love to see it but it won't happen and heck, he may not even run then either.

There's a restaurant in Indy he frequents and I've run into him a few times there. Nice guy and very, very sharp.
