The dealer just called me back a second ago. Said that his manager is not allowing him to test drive the car. Imagine that lol. Sets up a time, takes down my info, and now cancells, how unprofessional!

Prior to all this, I sent in a complaint email to Ford Canada stating that I have emailed several dealers wanting a test drive and have not heard any response. Today I got a call from a representative and she connected me with this dealership and setup the test drive. We scheduled a time, my information was taken down etc.

Time for another complaint letter 🙂

Ford must be doing crazy good economy wise if they don't care about people test driving their cars or not. I have the Mercedes dealer calling me every week wanting me to come in and test drive the C 63 AMG.

uh....considering the liability they absorb to allow someone to test drive the GT + the 98% certainty that you have no intent of purchasing the car, then why should they give a fuck if you test drive it or not?

Where in that post does it say I'm a teachers aid and live in my parents house? You are just making assumptions, which is bad, hasn't anyone taught you not to judge? This thread was about a scheduled test drive being a failure, and not about my life, earnings, or whether or not I am buying the car. If a person is in the market for a high performance sports car I am pretty sure they are going to go test drive a z06, a GT-500, and a slew of other cars just to compare and make a final decision, I know I would, and will if ever the day comes.

The problem with a lot of people here on AT is that you are always arguing/making oppositional postings to peoples issues/problems here no matter what they are. I see it in every thread. Why don't you stop thinking/analysing situations so much and just leave them for whatever the fuck they are.

You know that, I know that, how would the dealer possibly know his situation? I've personally have known several people who were denied a test drive, only to go the next dealership, get the test drive and buy the car cash.

As this specific situation, I do agree the GT500 will sell without help at all, so the dealer can do whatever he feels like.
