However, "Jules" is the dirtiest player in the ACC and deserved exactly what he got.

The situation in the game never would've occured if the refs would keep CP from being roughed up in every game he played in. Tell me nothing should've happened to Elton Brown when he popped CP3 in the head.

On the positive side, at least last night wasn't the last night Hodge gets to play in the RBC Centura Center. :D :D :D

Just another reason why the Big East is a better conference. They can handle the physical punishment of the game. And they don't whine about it.

He didn't whine, he did something about it. Isn't your best team coming to the ACC next year?

Yeah, Wake is a big name... we're not the school with 2 NCAA championships.

Or do you mean they always take the side with the big name player? Like in '97 when CC Harrison beat a Wake team with Tim Duncan with a 3 point shot that was a foot over the line.

Yeah, we get all the breaks.

Over at the Wake board, impartial fans said that State got the calls, not us. One "foul" which may not be one depending on the camera angle does not make a whole game. Yeah, Paul shoul've been thrown for the nut shot, but the refs didn't see it. It's not that they ignored it.

Oh, please BC has one good year - a year in which they didn't play the top dogs (SU, UConn, Pitt, ND) but once each, while all of the top dogs played each other twice. Of the 7, yes 7 (ACC will get 5 at most), teams that will get into the tourney, BC will be mid-pack, at best, when it comes to how deep they go in the tourney.

How does it feel to have the doormat of the BE the last 5 years - VT - finish 4th in the ACC? It just shows how weak the ACC really is.

It was more of a statement of the post complaining about the non-calls.

This is what happens when you have a conference of 300 teams, only 5 or so who play football.

As for VaTech, I don't know what problem people had with them. We swept them.

The ACC really isn't a weak conference. If Maryland had played consistently all year instead of playing with their heads up there asses, they probably would've been a Top 10 team, which would've made 4 Top 10 teams for the ACC, as opposed to 1 for the BE, and 5 in the Top 25.

The ACC is much stronger than you give them credit for.

Lol, we have 12 teams, ACC has 11. But, next year it's going to be strange with 16 teams in the conference. You could see 9-10 teams make the NCAA tourney next year.

Sorry, I don't buy that argument. You play as you are. Maryland just wasn't a good team. Hyphen boy (Caner-Medley) was too up and down this year. Gilchrest is overrated. Too many holes on the team.

And the rankings mean next too nothing. Duke loses and moves up. Give me a break.

That said, UNC is the one team I would hate to play. If McCants has his head in the game, then they can be dominant.

I don't think there's a single team in the Big Least that as good as Wake, UNC, or even *sigh* Duke.

Hopefully we will get a chance to see next week.

At least there is one thing we have in common - we both hate Duke.

Tell me again who all the great teams that the Big East won out of conference?

The ACC had to drop the ACC-Big East challenge and find a better league in which they are still dominating.

BC's claim to fame:
Squeaked by Clemson(ACC-9th place) at home
Had to rally to beat UCLA(Pac-10-3rd place) @ UCLA
Had to rally to beat Kent State (MAC)@ Home

UCONN:
rallied to beat a 15-12 Indiana @ home
that's pretty much it

Syracuse:
Beat Miss St(SEC-5th place) @ Miss St
that's it.

It's easy to get alot of teams in when you line your schedule with Ivy league teams and other teams that I have never heard of.

UNC's claim to fame:
Destroyed Iowa (Big 10-7th place)
Won a close one at Indiana
Destroyed Kentucky (SEC-1st place)
Destroyed Vermont (American East-1st place)
Beat Connecticut(Big East-2nd place) @ Connecticut

Wake Forest:
Buried George Washington(Atlantic 10-2nd place) @ WF
Beat Arizona(Pac 10-1st place) @ Arizona
Beat Texas(Big 12-5th place) @ WF(When they were still good)
Beat New Mexico(MWC-2nd place) @ New Mexico
Beat Cincinnati(Conference USA-2nd place) @ Cincinnati

Duke:
Beat Davidson(Southern-1st place) @ Duke
Beat Michigan State(Big 10-2nd place) @ Duke
Beat Oklahome(Big 10-1st place) @ Duke

FYI, we beat them in NYC.

We also beat Providence in NYC, who was at the time a top 25 team.

Seconded. The ACC has been, and will continue to get owned by the Big East in Basketball. They have a possible 8 teams that could make the Dance.

Like you would take a shot to the jules "like a man" I'd fall to the ground in pain and stay there. BTW, west virginia could win your tournament, how does that sit with you? and the ACC practically invented the sport. This is a down year.

That's just silly. Wake, Duke, and UNC are better than any team in the Big East. It was just 4 weeks ago that UNC went to UConn and won.
