They are kind of different animals.. Malwarebytes is mainly for malware/spyware/unwanted software instead of regular viruses/worms/trojans. It finds stuff that AV programs can miss.
thanks that bit of information because i thought Malwarebytes was an AV.
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free's industry-leading scanner detects and removes malware like worms, Trojans, rootkits, rogues, spyware, and more. All you have to do is launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free and run a scan. It's that simple. Or if you want even better protection, consider Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium and its instant real-time scanner that automatically prevents malware and websites from infecting your PC. Either way you're crushing malware and foiling hackers
I installed Malwarebytes on a copy of windows xp so i can to test it out![]()
AFAIK, it has to be the Premium version.
7 would mean we could put more ram in our machines. Would be nice to have like 6-8 gigs.
bought and installed Malwarebytes Premium but NIS wont let its live monitoring run... Will it be a good idea to disable NIS and let Malwarebytes Premium take over?
Personally I'd just remove NIS and use a different AV program.
It doesn't properly support them. The scheduler differences. The biggest problem is that its a security mess and has zero support for modern features - think UEFI and GPT. It was built back in 2001, it just isn't designed for anything modern.
Actually, most of XP was built in 1999, when the NT 5 kernel was introduced in Windows 2000. In computer terms, XP is Mesozoic. I retired my last XP system a few years ago, and dual boot Windows 7 and Mint 16 these days.
Your troll does not answer my question, but thanks anyways for opening my eyes, I didn't know NIS was the worst IS software...![]()
I am in the middle of updating my companies PCs to win 7 pro. Win 8 pro is just horrid and costs twice as much.
I still have my old XP computer. I only use it for playing the Classic Microsoft games.
