Sorry for the long post in advance, details are needed though...
I work for a CORPORATE cell phone store. (Emphasis on corporate- you would expect bullshit from indirect shitholes, but not corp.)
We get paid off commission. Activations, upgrades with contract renewals, accessories and features.
At the end of each month we have to submit any 'corrections' we have for activations/features not showing up correctly. Generally I'll have to submit 5 or so activation 'corrections' along with a couple of features. Interestingly enough, anytime I add a data feature to a customers account (not at time of activation) I NEVER get paid for it and ALWAYS have to submit a correction.
Normally, things are fine. Submit corrections, sometimes resubmit them if they aren't corrected first time. Its a pain in the ass, but its what you have to do. Lately, its been worse.
Its also important to note that I have to submit my corrections to my manager, who in turn submits them to our commission specialist. I will refer to this commission specialist as fucktard from here on out.
November I submitted corrections for 5 prepaid activations. They never got fixed. After literally about 10 emails we finally got a them fixed, for the most part. This is about a month and a half after the initial corrections. So I got paid for them, but 2 months late. All except for 1. I was promised this one would show up on my January commission check, which it hasn't. No big deal on its own though.
Now Dec. rolls around and I notice a major problem with our upgrades pay. I'm basically not getting paid for about $165 dollars worth of upgrades. I inform my co-workers who, surprise surprise, are missing a lot of money as well. I do the whole song and dance with my manager and fucktard. Now fucktard takes about 3-5 days to respond to any email and we don't have a phone # for him, this means the process is normally very slow to begin with. I am informed on two occassions that our company knows of the problem and is going to issue a check in the next week. Those checks never came. I keep on the issue and a few weeks later fucktard comes up with some bullshit reason why we didn't get paid for these. Meanwhile the same day on our corporate website the company publishes an article stating that there is a known issue that has been fixed. Also past pay missed will be put on the following months paycheck (Jan.)
Alright, so today is the day before our Jan. paychecks are about to close. Basically that means once they close the checks are written and thats that.
I am looking through my paycheck and notice 4 things. 1. Nov. prepaid activation has STILL not been added on. This is 2 1/2 months later and easily 15 emails I've sent. 2. Dec. upgrades of $165 dollars is not being paid, even though I was assured they would be (for the third time). 3. Feature corrections I've submitted twice for the month of January have not gone through, totaling about $30. 4. Worst of all, Im being fucked out of $265 fucking dollars on this months upgrades, a problem which I was told was fixed.
What makes this fucking worse is not only is everyone in our store not getting paid on their upgrades, but everyone in the market isn't getting paid properly, as far as I know. Thats for two months straight now and this month its WAY worse. I'm starting to lose faith in my company and that I'll ever get paid for this shit. Im also fairly certain the upgrade problem is a nationwide problem, just most people are either getting lied to about why they aren't getting paid, or just don't notice. (Im fairly attentive to my commission pay, as I know shit like this happens)
So basically the amount of money this fucking company owes me now is nearing $500 over the last 3 months. Thats not including the $200 I got fucked out of last Jan. when I was new to the company and didn't know enough to make a big deal out of it?
Sorry for the long post, it was neccessary. Now my question, what can I do about this? I know I can obviously consult a lawyer, but if I sued my own company I would most def. lose my job. At this point I'd rather not get paid on the money, or hold off a few more months, than sue them and lose my job. Do I have any other alternatives though?
Agh! I'm fucking pissed right now!
