Well here we go...
I had it with UPS in my area, they have given me the worst service, EVER. I will not ever, ever ship of have things delivered by them again, even if it means no free shipping, or higher cost.
First incident i have with them, i had a package sent from canada. I wasn't home so i asked them to redirect it to my office (delivery change request). So they did, and they processed it. Package never arrived, and after the next 2 days i called them to ask what's going on, they found out they slapped the wrong address on it. They will make another attempt tomorrow and they never did. I found out later that the package was sent back to the sender in the midst of all the change requests. I asked them what is the tracking number for the package so that i knoe the sender would get it back and UPS said that it is an internal number and cannot be tracked from the website. Up until NOW, neither i or the sender ever received the package and it was still under investigation as to why this package just "vanished". I'm out $250 for this.
Recently, i bought some stuff from Staples.. obviously they provide no other shipping method other than UPS. The package was supposed to be delivered on 6/16. I was not at home, and i made a delivery change request. The next 2 days, after the fact that i have submitted a delivery change request, the driver keeps on trying to deliver it to my home! I made a call to the local UPS distribution center and they are not sure why my request is not being processed. At this point, my package is on its 3rd delivery attempt and being held at the center. All they can say is that they will definitely deliver it to my Office address on 6/20 and they would have to notify whoever is holding the package. I made it clear to them that till will be a Business area, that has 9-5 work hour. It's almost 6pm now and still no package. I'm still waiting for the center to call me to explain what is going on.
I'm not sure if this is generally what's happening for everyone but the UPS in my area really sucked! They seem to ignore delivery request changes and made no effort to go the extra length to deliver any packages that was not delivered due to their fault.
I would pick up the package, but it will took me 2 hours of driving to get there in stop-and-go traffic.
Enough rant from me.
