Sounds a little bit like a helicopter when I put my ear right up to the speakers.

the static is probably your speakers being turned up.
If you have a low quality sound card and speakers, you will hear static if you turn the volume up.
That said, I opened up the wav in soundforge, and it was, unsurprisingly, and empty sound file

I always wonder the truth in internet message boards. I always see people calling other peoples bluffs and "shens" so to speak.
So i was thinking, why not make a fake "quick" IQ test, and everyone who finishes it gets an "average" score regardless of the answers. (it will change, but overall everyone will be int he same bracket).
After a couple days worth of posts, call everyone out who lied about their score. It would be great fun! ]
So do you think it would work?
Yes, it would work.
I've done a few polls like that on online forums. Most recently there was the batch of threads on ATOT asking people if they could hear sounds at high frequencies. I loaded up a completely blank sound file and asked if people could hear the sound. It wasn't 100% 'no' votes. 😉
It's not an empty sound file.Originally posted by: DAGTA

To make the sound I opened Windows Sound Recorder and 'recorded' for a few seconds without a microphone connected to the computer.
