So a killing spree is the expected response? What's a bad day at work worth? Grab someone and break a few fingers? Fight with the wife and you take a ballpein hammer to the neighbors knees?
You are speaking of violent... logic.
Hate is an emotional response. Logic does not apply.
Hate finds a focus, a target. And when it bursts, anything goes.
Most people understand consequences and resist the primal urge to act.
But we all have a breaking point, and it is not the same. Nor are our support and coping mechanisms equal.
I have not read the manifesto, but the person in question was clearly not sane by any reasonable standard. They could not cope with their pain. And yes, hell on earth is what it looks like. Anyone who suffers wants to bring others in to share in the pain and the suffering. Guns make that REAL easy. Pull a trigger and relish. It's sick, but that's humanity for ya. And our society? Utterly defenseless with nary an eye towards caring for and protecting each other's well being. We try for safety, but we seem utterly clueless on what true safety is built upon. And it is NOT the stress we place each other under for the rat race that is our lives.
Comfort and safety go hand in hand. Yet we prioritize one without the other.
