So, i was perusing my way through the local Chipotle, looking to get a nice double carnitas/barbacoa burrito w/ pinto beans, lettuce, sour cream, cheese, tomato, corn, and hot sauce... When the lady behind the counter goes "You know that's made with pork right?" I go yea, but why the fuck are you telling me? it doesnt matter, if the fucking news media would actually publish truthful statements telling people that SWINE FLUE DOES NOT COME FROM PIG MEAT, there wouldnt be a need for the idiot behind the counter to try and increase the fear of teh deadly swine flu.

This reminds me of what happened on Sunday afternoon.

I was using my comp and my mom while watching a CNN coverage asks me "have you heard about swine flu?" I said "yes". She said "you better not buy any bacon or sausage for a while until this outbreak clears up". Five seconds after she said that, Janet Napolitano was shown at a press confrence saying "You cannot get swine flu from eating pork. I repeat, you cannot get swine flu from eating pork".

We both laughed after that.

well, you're both right. It doesn't come from Pig meat, but carnitas pig meat has 79% more swine flu! Oh Noes!!!!!!!

Don't watch TV news and you wouldn't have the impression that swine flu comes from pork products. I've read many news articles online and in print that state quite clearly that there is no evidence whatsoever that eating pork can lead to swine flu infection. It's the lame "eyewitness news" crap with skull and crossbone graphics and ominious voices saying "will MILLIONS die due to the PANDEMIC!?!??!" and guess what? That's not news. That's infotainment.
