If you and others want to pay money to see the Braves or D'backs send the Yanks home emptyhanded again, that's fine with me. ;)

I'm in Oregon, west coast sucks (baseball wise)
Sounds like a Loser Mariners fan. Well get use to it because they shot their wad and won't be worth a good god damn for another 10 years. Go A's!

The Dabacks but not the Ted Turners. They will fold like they do every year.

Probably true. I'm still a fan tho since they're much less adept at losing than our other pro teams here in Atlanta.

I don't know what would be worse, never making the Playoffs or making them each year only to fail to win the whole thing year after year. I remember when the A's had a run in the late 80's and early 90's and lost to teams that they should have creamed. It was worse than them not making it at all. Now getting beat by the Yankees isn't that bad as long as you give it a good effort and don't embarrass yourselves (like the Mariners did last year)

It is painful, to be sure, but at least we get to attend some playoff games and soak up the vibe. People always seem to turn the cheering dial up to "11" for post-season games. It's fun to be there and be a part of it.....win or lose.

Well at least you'll get to see one game before the Yankmees are eliminated.

Unless you bought tickets for the Metrodome to watch the Twins send both teams from the AL West home.

You have to be kidding. The only reason the Twins clinched the central this year is because everyone else in the AL Central is pathetic. The Royals? The Tigers? Beating them is like beating up the retarded kid in a wheelchair next door. Technically you won the fight, but it wasn't much of a challenge was it? I wouldn't be surprised if one of the AL West teams ends up in the World Series this year. They're both kinda hot 'n cold from week to week, but I think it's a definite possibility.

Don't get me wrong....I think it's great that the Twins are doing well this season (and I always like to see the underdog win), but I think this is about as far as they'll get.

Hmmmm, and the AL East has the Devil Rays and the Orioles. The also have what other teams don't.....True home field advantage. No team likes trying to play in the Dome. The Twins were also counted out in 87 and 91. I didn't see them sweat then either. The only way to truly beat back the Twins is with a Left Handed Pitcher. They'll be in the game when it counts......playoff time.

Twins cannot hit left handed pitching.
As such, As beat them AND the Yankees beat them.

As a Yankee fan I'm scared of the AL west and I predict another great series (like As and Yanks last year)

All kidding aside, I think it's great that teams with low payrolls like the Twins and the A's can play at the same level as the teams with outrageous Payrolls like the Yankees.
