Hey ThePresence, you can add Bellhorn to your sig. :p

Winning this series, after being down 3-0, erases Babe, Bucky, Buckner, and Boone.

Now, one more mission to accomplish, erase 1918.

I've been wanting the Yanks to lose the series not because I was a Sox fan, but because I just wanted them to lose. But honestly, I really hate what I'm seeing now that the Sox won... They win one series against the Yankees, and all the sudden it's "We're the best team ever! Yankees SUCK!" Not to mention the plethora of stupid artwork showing up on the web.

I haven't seen a "we're the best team ever" comment. It was the greatest comeback in baseball history, if not team sports history.

Hey, Sox Fans (new and old), I've got news for you, 26 World Series Championships vs NONE. The Yankees had their third 100+ won game season IN A ROW this year. At the start of this season, Boston sucked. They pulled it together though and turned into a great team this year, but it's not over yet... Who knows where they'll finish next year?

Actually Boston won 5 WS's in the early years of the league. While that may be considered ancient history, so are most of those Yankee WS's. Historicly Boston is still "up there" in championships and good teams. Taking the last 20 years into consideration, the Yankees have beat Boston more than not, but they haven't had teams NEAR as good as this years for a majority of that time. Both teams should be proud of their teams, compared to most they are the cream of the crop.

I don't recall Boston "sucking" at the start of this season, but what do I know I just watched almost every single game. They went through injuries, readjustment, and Mr. Mia Hamm throwing fits. Through all of it they pulled away from the pack and stayed in the running of the elite. The Yankees have some tough years recently in the playoffs. As far as next year goes count on both teams making a run for it, or are you calling the Sox a one year wonder?

I dont like the Yankees because of George's loose wallett and their cocky fans, dont make me hate you too.

Please hate me then. I'm enjoying a World Series like Yankee (and Braves) fans have enjoyed for years. The Canadians had a few Stanley Cup wins but I don't see the "well they have 26 championships" comment every year another team wins. Pointing out bandwagon or annoying Boston fans is fine, trying to belittle a team and their proud fans isn't.

Bucky Buckner and Boone's huge plays stay in the sig until the Sox win a WS. :)

Depends on who they are able to resign. If you're a Sox fan you better hope and pray that John Henry shells out to keep Varitek.

He had a few good swings the last couple of games because Yankee pitching blows, but he does not scare me at all. Keep Minky and Reese. They dont scare me, even though they are both awesome defensive players. The one guy you MUST resign is Varitek. Be very afraid, he's a Scott Boras guy.

Bellhorn quickly became one of my favorites this year. Those "few good swings" have happened all years at exactly the right time. He had 82 RBI's and 88 walks (177 K's, sigh..) at the 2 spot in a season where he wasn't always the starter, in fact wasn't supposed to be a starter. He filled a role in the chemistry of the offense while playing solid defense. Most people see 177 strikeouts and don't see the massive amount of pitches he drew from opposing starters, often early in the game so the big guns behind him could get a better feel of the pitcher. (very few double-plays as well, which will kill Boston's offense) He's not going to any all-star games, but his importance to the team should not be underestimated. (many Boston fans would disagree, but those are the facts) Pokey is much more athletic but Bellhorn plays smarter in the field.

You're right about Varitek. When Schilling was signed and first started throwing to Tek he was amazed at his pitch selection. When I saw Bronson Cornrows shake him off *twice* (against Williams I think) I knew there would be a hit. Whatever Yankee player it was proceeded to smack a double down the first base line. His only glaring weakness this year was the high fastball. If he fixes that he deserves the big bucks.

The Astros have the Killer B's. That could be bad. :)
