I have a Hungarian one that is still new in the box. I bought it when Clinton was re-banning them after importers complied with the law to make them legal to import, as things were looking rather dim for the future of gun imports at the time. I will get some pictures of that one eventually.

A friend of mine bought one at the same time, and I have fired his. I like it but I prefer my SLR-95, especially the stock.

or is that not why you own them?

You can. They make excellent deer rifles. Which is why I far prefer them to AR and variants. .223 caliber just isnt up to par on hunting, except for varmiting. And for that, I'll take a nice .243, which is small enough to pick off varmits all day and not blow your shoulder out, but stil big enough to turn around and hunt deer with as well.

While I have no doubt I could take down some "tasty dear" (Dear Abby, perhaps?) with one of my AK-47s, that is not why I own them.

It looks that way, but fits the hand perfectly what with the piece on the back. Very comfortable, very easy to shoot.

Nice collection. I'm not really into longarms though.

I bought 2 Kimbers this month, a Springfield TRP, and preban AR15 just yesterday.

On order is 10 cases of Winchester Ranger ammo for my 9mm blasters.

The USP trigger pull is as atrocious as that of the beretta 92.

The DA is heavy and firm all the way through not unlike a stock revolver.
The SA is loose, has a lot of slop in the trigger and is absolultely terrible.

I like it overall, but it is just slightly too large for my hands. There is a tiny bit of creep in the trigger that a gunsmith could easily take care of, but I will let the next owner deal with it. I plan to sell it and buy the compact model USP-40, as it will fit my hands better and work better for concealed carry.

Funny how California is so restrictive...they must have the biggest gang cultures around so you'd think of all places you'd like to feel safe--it is there.

HA! not when the gangs can sneak the guns across the border from Mexico. Some idiot tried to ship a whole cargo box full of AK-47s from China into Oakland a couple years back and got caught.

x2!!
ozarkguns.com seems to have some of the best prices, I'm saving up for one. Got a big whooping 50 bucks so far. After the gun I need some ammo, gonna buy a buttload of heirloom seeds and store those, some MRE's (A few cases), tents, water filters, spare water, 30 gallons in gas cans, nightvision goggles and scope. Hopefully, I can scrounge up enough to ditch this house and buy one a bit farther out. Brick energy efficient design on about 20 to 30 acres of land with solar power is what I'm shooting for.

Building an AR isnt hard. You can do it for around $600.

I decided to sell mine, the preban aura to it wore off after I stubbed my toe on the bayonet a few nights ago.

At least you didn't spell it "dual" like so many others. For weapons, I choose Remington Speedmaster 552s with iron sights, at a range of 500 meters. :D
