'Dinner at my place', is usually interpreted as you wanting to have sex with her that evening. It's too much for a second date. You were going waaaay too fast. Home-cooked dinner with flowers, candles, and wine....on date two? She probably talked with one of her girlfriends about it and then started to get freaked out.

I don't think the dinner by candlelight was too much as others have said. It would have been a good opportunity to get to know each other in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Much better than the movies or a crowded restaurant. She didn't get scared she's just rude and sold you out to go with what in her mind was a better option. Inconsiderate for sure and I hope you stick by your guns and do not give her a second chance.
