This religion doesnt even share its beliefs to the public, so its kinda a guess as far as what they believe exactly

A) Run away
B) Look over his shoulder when his SO abandons her family

When my SO abandons her family I will own a gun (don't yet). But I'm buying a Glock 19 soon for targer practice/home protection. SO will know how to operate the firearm. I also practice JKD so I'm proficient at hand to hand combat.

She's not going to leave her family or her religon.

After a bad experience like this I will never date a girl of..

Islamic (or similar) religons
Fundamentalist Christian (asian)...

Most intolerate groups of people I've ever met.

I thought religon was supposed to preach tolerance.. I guess that just got lost in the message.

oh man i'll agree w/ you on the Fundy Christian parts for Asians. holy phok. My ex was one, and she'd force onto me the topics of conversion and such. why the phok for? she just kept arguing w/ me about the topic. pissed me off to no end.

Wow...very interesting "religion"...I'm not gonna get into the cult/religion debate, but it's an interesting mix of Gnosticism, Christianity, and Islam...also esoteric, which makes it all the more intriguing...

Sounds like it's more her problem than yours. If she doesn't want to take the chance of being disowned/killed/hated by her family, then she can't stay with you. That's really the only choice to be made.

Break up with her. What good will she be as a gf/wife if she is going to be traumatized by her family disowing her. She's going to have to deal with this on her own. Nothing good will come of it until she confronts them and decides to stay with you or have them accept you.

Haha, on the contrary, sometimes I feel as though I'm one of the few people here that actually has college-level education in philosophy or political science.

I believe you took my comment out of context. In fact, Atlas Shrugged is one of my favorite books, no matter how ridiculous objectivism is in reality (but that's for another thread). The quote was funny to me becuase I've never seen Ayn Rand quoted like that before, that's all I was getting at.
