Finally got my range bag all set up.
<snip>

And of course I had to make it mine:
<snip>

I have to ask, do you really like those patches? Every time I've ever seen stuff like that it's always from some dirty looking neckbeard guy with that crazed look in his eye and usually really bad halitosis as he tries to get all buddy buddy with anyone that wants to hear about the latest gun he picked up. Tend to have so much facial hair to cover up there bad teeth or something. Which is the reason I have a hard time getting my wife to join me in going to any of the gun shows around here. 90% of the people look like that. The pictures from last year's gun rally in Austin was full of guys looking like that.

Not that I'm saying you look like that, but that's the mental association I get when I see stuff like that. I could see one of those patches not making that mental image by itself. But 4? I think it's because most of those guys wear so many of those patches on their nasty looking clothes to cover the holes on them. Most of which tend to be olive drab, brown, and black in color. It's like they spend every time they get on guns, ammo, military surplus shit, and booze. Nothing goes to new clothes, a razor, soap, and a toothbrush it looks like.

Yes I like them. Now go away.

When gun owners have stereotypical views of fellow gun owners, there is a serious problem with that for me.

I dont care how you look, if you paint your gun purple, if you have biohazard and zombie symbols on your bag or firearm, or if you use certain brands because they look tactical or sound cool. That doesn't matter to me. What matters is you are exercising a right that very few countries in the world allow their citizens to have. Are there bad apples in the bunch and do people get careless and give an opening for those who want to take away our right to bare arms? Of course but that doesn't mean everyone fits that bill. I am proud of anyone who takes it upon themselves to own a fierarm for whatever reason and I dont care what they look like or anything like that. As long as they do things the right way and are safe.

It isn't illegal. It is a moral issue or questionable lifestyle choice more than a legal issue. So I think it is right? No, but it is like seeing one person who fits the stereotypical thug look and concluding that everyone is like that and that ruining the image of the rest of the youth in the neighborhood.

I am talking about people who do dumb things with their firearm that give "ammo" to the antis.

its a range bag, it doesn't go anywhere but the range and my trunk.

But if people are small minded and want to judge me based on a couple patches, its their right to be that ignorant. We have proof of that just a few posts up. I can't fix small minded people, I can't make them think outside their small little box. I just ignore them and hope they don't pollute the gene pool.

LOL, I was pointing out that the only people I see with that sort of stuff are those that fit that stereotype. I don't ever see the clean cut guy/gal, who owns a few guns as well, has a CHL, and is a respectable outward looking person in their community putting patches like that all over the gun related items. They may do 1 patch on something they own, but more than that is considered tacky by most. It also tends to feed into certain stereotypes because that is what the majority of those people I described above do.

If you like it great, no one is saying you can't do it. Just saying some people may get the wrong ideal when they see that. If you could care less for their opinions on your taste then more power to you. But don't get surprised when others may clump you in with a stereotype that you don't want to be clumped in with.

Didn't Amazon and Google both eliminate them for a while? I honestly can't remember but I know it was something like this.

google stopped showing that stuff on google shopping results for a while
As if we need Amazon to get the cool stuff. Piss on em I say. Their loss.

it sounds like if its banned in any state, they will remove it to limit their liability, which sadly makes sense

well finally got ahold of someone at PSA. They told me the standard reply of it takes 15 business days to ship out uppers so maybe end of next week.

Must....learn....patience.... 😀

Seriously man. How hard is it to just wait? I really worry about people who can't wait a few days or *gasp* a week.

:whiste:

My wife did laugh at me because I was so proud that I didn't have any leftover springs/pins and turns out I have this monster giant spring leftover lol

There should be a thinger at the end of the barrel that keeps it in place

From PSA website:

*Please allow at least 15 business days for your complete assembled upper to ship from our facility. Holiday, special sale, and and political pandemonium lead times can be longer*

PSA is a good company. Even when they screwed up, they will make it up for you. For example, I ordered several items with 2 Pmag mags but they only shipped 1. I sent one email and they replied and just yesterday, my secretary brought a box with only 1 Pmag mag in it to my desk.

Plus it is bad weather right now in their neck of the wood so it will take even longer to ship things out.

Full disclosure: I do NOT get pay from PSA or know anyone from PSA.

We should all find a company to promote and get free stuff from them.

Oh yeah I'm not knocking them. I know theyre slow but reliable. I'm just posting about my lack of patience lol

I'm personally not a fan of PSA. They take too long to ship stuff out, two weeks is way too long for stuff that's supposed to be in stock. I've also had stuff show up damaged and had to wait again for replacements to show up. They've got some good stuff with good prices but I avoid shopping there if I can help it. Otherwise get something I know I won't care about needing while I wait two weeks in silence hoping they ship my stuff. No one else I've dealt with takes anywhere near that long. That's just me though. More power to the people who love them.

they seem to put a lot of this together as its ordered, which would account for a lot of the delay

Which would make some sense for some orders being delayed, but I normally only buy parts and stuff that doesn't need to be put together. I have a hard time with any company that requires two weeks to ship me a charging handle.
