Finally got my steel Clipped and Pinned (Full auto lower for Semi Auto Receivers) installed. They aren't a drop and fit so I had to do quite a bit of filing...what a PITA but it looks nice 🙂.

Also got the German Bipod installed 😀.

Looks great!

I don't really know my HK rifles - is that an HK-91/92 or a clone or what? Is it really full auto? If so I assume it must have cost a pretty penny . . .

Thanks! Girlfriend got me the German Bipod for Christmas 🙂

it's a PTR91, US made HK91/G3's on former Portuguese Official HK licensed tooling. Shoots either .308 or 7.62x51. It's a clone 🙂. A real HK would have cost roughly $4K for the same exact thing.

I wish it was full auto, HK91s and clones have a "shelf" that makes it so you can't install the Full-Auto lowers on a semi auto gun. The lower on my gun had to be clipped, filed, welded, and "pinned" in order to allow installation on a semi auto rifle, but will not allow a fullauto triggerpack.

Pic shows a HK G3 and a Civilian MP5, but you get the point. MP5s and G3s are basically the same gun.

Next item on my list is the paddle mag release...that's going to cost around $120 in labor alone if I don't do it myself. Parts run about...$40ish.

Most of the good aftermarket sights cost about the same amount really. And most retailers will install them for free since it's so easy on a Glock.

the last time I had looked the good ones were running 100-150 vs the 40 I paid to get my 19 with night sights on it from the factory

cant say I looked around much after that since I didn't need to

I might want a set for my gen 1 g17 though, since its my nightstand gun

Apparently prices on night sights have dropped by 50% since you last looked, just like the rest of the firearms market.

http://www.amazon.com/Glock-Pistol-F.../dp/B000LJUS4I

89 bucks and those have the high-contrast outlines, to boot.

I was looking for them on Glock's website but didn't find anything...a lot of manufacturers have their own online stores that, in addition to the typical T-shirts, hats, bags/cases and such, also sell basic upgrades like sights. Some even have whole parts catalogs so you can easily order a replacement for that little spring you shot across the room and probably sucked up in the vacuum cleaner (...everybody does that, right? 🙁).

I dunno about free install, though. Shops around here really bend you over for a simple sight install. Maybe worth it if they actually ensure that the windage (drift? whatever they call that on a pistol) is dead-on.

I had those exact same sights put on a G33 on Monday for $65 or so, out the door. *shrug*

I got mad trying to figure out the sights so I just got the gun with regular sights and I'll figure out the sights later.

They had plenty of LEO models with night sights. I asked him to pull the sights off one of those but he wouldn't :colbert:

My favorite news from SHOT Show, Federal is coming out with some full powered 10mm ammo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0f8CqbiaEG0 http://www.federalpremium.com/news/new_products.aspx

Here is the worst SHOT Show video I saw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NqVZng7dIk That was immature.

Nice to see a better offering for factory 10mm. Still need good "plinking" type full powered stuff though. Underwood is only ~50fps more and buffalo bore is ~75ish more.

I seriously hate people who just try to be smartasses like that. Hey look at me i know exactly what this is but ill be a dumbass and pretend i dont. So ill make random comments while the guy isnt really listening and try to make them look stupid! Get a life.

My favorite announcements at Shot Show 2014 were Sig Sauer's 556 xi and SilencerCo's Saker 7.62 suppressor. Very cool stuff.

Anyone else want to list their favorites?

I don't think you'll have any trouble.

Why those sights, though? I see two issues- one is the mentioned lack of any outlines for contrast. Plain tritium sights work great in pitch dark, but you may not get much glow in even very dim circumstances. The white outlines are nice to have.

Second problem is that they're supposed to fit all different size Glocks, but the rear sight is rather short. On your 19, with the dots lined up straight across, at 10m or so I bet you'll be shooting pretty low low. 12 o'clock aiming is not exactly optimal.

For the same price, I'd probably just get this:

http://www.amazon.com/Ameriglo-Gloc...&qid=1389850452&sr=1-15&keywords=glock+sights

And the adjustable factory-style rear 'U' sight. If it's even needed.

They are low profile and to be honest, I want to try something new.

I also picked up a Tuck n Go holster. I'm actually impressed with how well it stays in place and how comfortable it is. http://www.galcogunleather.com/tuck-n-go-inside-the-pant-holster_8_7_1320.html

Still waiting on my other holster and for Alien to swap out my plastic. I have a holster problem...

Which claw rail is that and how is it? I need one.

Havent really seen anything that made me go damn i want that. but heres what has interested me so far....o and dont take what i said wrong. Theres tons of great new products coming out just nothing completely new that has me going must buy that 🙂

-SilencerCo's harvester suppressors....look interesting and have different thread adapters which is interesting. but with two 30cal cans already ( a 762-SDN and a TBAC 30p-1) not sure i need another 30cal

-AI's new rifles...expensive but quick change calibers and still get subMOA. Interesting being able to use 338 lapua down to 308win with the same action and chassis and just changing the barrel out. But expensive 🙁

-The Remington R51....i was interested but reports from the show has been less than ideal. Reports of shitty trigger. Hard to rack slide and just other issues. But it seems hard to judge since even some reviewers say one gun will be shit then the next will work perfectly and be nice.

-The Aresenal Strikefire (i think that sits name)...interesting looking gun. But will it ever actually be imported

theres my 4 so far.

Can you guys please recommend a medium quality AR-15 in 5.56? Also does a silencer make sense for supersonic ammo?

The Colt LE6920 is the obvious choice. You may prefer it in the Magpul flavor (I would). Suppressors are illegal in my state and I have no experience with them so can't advise on that, but I would tend to question the cost/benefit ratio of using one with supersonic ammo.
