Been limited to 3 boxes at walmart by corporate directive since last week Tuesday. Some stores may not have received the word right away, but it is suppose to be for all stores nation wide.

i just bought 2 - 250 round value packs of 9mm. They told me it was a 2 box limit per caliber

The Umarex MP5 is a great clone of the real thing and like the real MP5 the stock is kind of short for a decent sized guy which Imo makes it uncomfortable to shoot. The cheaper GSG MP5 has a longer stock and is much more comfortable Imo.

Had that issue, especially with a red dot sight. Fixed by putting a fixed stock on it, which is a bit longer. Gun is amazingly fun now.

I always thought .22 is like $20-25 for 525 or something. Am i crazy?

It used to be but .22lr has been hit very hard by the current panic, in the event you can find any at all you will be paying much more than normal for it.

This is the first time I have seen Federal in stock anywhere for at least a week. I saw some CCI Mini Mags online for $0.10 a round a few days ago and they all sold out in a couple of hours.

All of my guns are in .22lr so I don't have much choice about buying more if I want to be able to shoot.

I've been having the most trouble finding .22LR

They were stocking one day at Academy, but a guy grabbed the last Remington "bucket of bullets" before I could get to it.

I have 3000 .22 rounds on order that should ship next week but I had to order those almost a month ago... so freaking annoying. I mean really, .22? Ugh, stupid panic...

What? Those were the good ole' days? That is still over 4 cents a round! I remember going into a walmart when the federal 550 boxes were just under $10 and deciding to stock up with 20 boxes.

How much is 22lr going for now?

Federal has been $0.08 a round when it is available while the others have been all over the place. At this point supplies are so low it's hard to estimate an average price for the major brands.

I just switch to 22 for the range. Have already practiced plenty with my carry weapon and the 1911 is more of a show piece.
And we were never allowed to shoot bulk military steel ammo at our range anyway so that doesnt matter.

Holy shit. On one hand, my ammo is probably worth more than my 401k now. On the other hand, do I really want to shoot my retirement savings?

Here, I'll contribute some gun pron to the thread.

Anyone has experience or use the Streamlights TLR series (specifically TLR-1s). Just want to know what your thoughts are. I picked up a FNX40 a few weeks ago and was thinking of getting a light for it.

I have a TLR-2 on a Beretta Px4 and love it.

I thought it was a bit gimmicky at first, but after practicing with it and getting used to it, it's very nice.

I wouldn't carry a gun with a light attached due to the added weight / bulk, but it serves very well in a "nightstand gun" capacity.

I've got a TLR-1 on my M&P 9mm. Plenty happy with it. Very bright, easy to use, attaches/detaches in a couple seconds.

I'm curious, does the weight help any with the snap/recoil?

I'm glad third parties make stocks to fix that. I liked how accurate it felt to the real thing but the short stock on a real MP5 was pretty uncomfortable and would be even more annoying on a semi auto gun where you are more concerned about accuracy.

I think it's actually made by Umarex. I bought it off the hkparts website. Gun is tremendously fun. I don't even have the dot completely zeroed in, but last trip to the range I was carving out holes in target's heads at the 20 yard mark.

I have the TLR-1s. It stays on my FNP-45 tactical pretty much all the time since thats my HD gun.

Its nice. Bright too. it lights up things a good 50 feet away, probably a bit furthur but i just know thats from my back door to the creek. From 10-15 feet (bed to the doorway) it isnt super blinding but does good enough that any bad guy would stop in their tracks. Not overpowering bright but enough to blind to where you cant see if that makes sense.

As for the TLR-1 vs TLR-1s....i find the strobe to just be annoying. It isnt the easiest to turn on in my opinion and requires more thinking to do. The actual strobe i found a bit annoying as the user too if looking at a target with the strobe on. But that is just me. They are around the same price last i looked so no reason to not go with the 1s but if you find a 1 for cheaper...id go that route personally.

I've also got a TLR-1S. Mine is on my rifle. I really like it. Easy to toggle and plenty bright. IMHO you don't want a super bright weapon light. Most interior walls are light colored and a really bright light will blind you as well. I only got the S version as it was a bit brighter than the regular version at the time I bought it. The strobe was not attractive to me at all and I have it disabled to prevent it from accidentally being turned on.

I have the TLR-3 that I have used on my FNX40 and had it mounted on my Sig556 too. I dont know how many rounds I have shot with it on either weapon but it has held up.

How do you like that FNX?
