The downside to this price dropping is when you've a S&W M&P in 9mm one's trying to unload.. looks like I need to think about pricing..

Another good deal for AR-15, less than $500 total cost.

Upper $190 = http://palmettostatearmory.com/ptac...1-7-upper-without-bcg-or-charging-handle.html

BCG/CH combo $90 = http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-...-7075-t6-forged-mil-spec-charging-handle.html

Lower $130 = http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-ar-15-complete-blem-lower-classic-edition-no-magazine.html

Total will be about $410 plus $25 shipping (you can get free shipping if you want to wait for free shipping special) plus $15 FFL fee for a total of about $450 for a decent AR 15.

Not bad at all.

I suppose that's an issue if you buy things intending to resell them.

I thought I would mention that anyone looking for some reasonable AR ammo might check Cabelas. They are running a sale at 6.49 a box for IMI ammo and it's both .223 and 5.56 ammo on sale. Also have Blazer Brass 9mm on sale. I made a thread in hot deals but thought I'd mention it to you all here, in case some of you don't frequent the hot deals forum.

I finally found one - yesterday I ordered in a brand new Sig 1911 tacops in the amazing 10mm auto. My LGS was looking up tacops models for me, and they found some in stock that were on a promotion, and I am getting it for $860 out the door. It should hopefully be here by the end of the week.

I also picked up some VZ operator II grips for it, got an amazing deal on a Surefire X400 for it, and got a custom holster order in for it through windhillholsters.com. Now I am debating whether I should order another case of Atomic Centimeter to have on hand since this will be my third 10mm.

AR 15 barrel steel... Chrome Moly vs. 4150V, which is "better"?

Also, can someone tell me the type of AR 15 steel barrel, from best to worse. TIA.

The new atomic centimeter arrived today, and I was able to get a crappy pic after I got the VZ grips installed on it. I have some more goodies arriving for it soon, and I cannot wait to take it out and see how it handles some full power underwood. 10mm is the best mm.

That's an interesting article. Those are going to be some very pricey rifles. However, the article states that the M110 was 13 inches longer than an M4 carbine. However, the pictures I see on there certainly don't look any longer than a standard 16-20 inch barrel. You think the pictures or captions might be off somehow? I could see a longer barrel for longer shots but neither of those 2 pictures looks to be anywhere near 13 inches longer than a standard rifle....unless I'm blind?

So I got my tax return and did a splurge and got me a new gun! It's been awhile since I bought one.

I noticed PSA has some deals on AR-10 parts and got a new complete lower with a complete upper for what looks to be a darn fine deal.

I picked up the magpul lower for $239 with free shipping and the 18" stainless steel with 15" keymod free float rail upper for $499 with free shipping. So with a $10 transfer fee here I'm looking at a total of $750 for a complete AR-10 that seems to be well worth the price.

I could have picked up the standard blem lower for $219 and the standard upper for $419 for a total of $650 after FFL fee, but I think the upgrades were worth the extra $100.

Still, it's been awhile since I saw prices for AR-10's this cheap. Will take pictures once it comes in :)
