I have no words for the idiocy that is the UK...especially that the prices are basically the same as a fully functioning firearm![]()
At least those prices are in line with them not being real...but I still seriously don't get the point of them

I have no nephew but yeah both of those, it's just a toy / ornament for me.
I own blunt samurai swords which I never plan on attacking anyone with and a light sabre, this will sit with them nicely
Get the Mustang, it will look cool sitting in your driveway and you'll be the envy of the neighborhoodhey guys. i'm going to go buy either a Kia or a Ford Mustang. neither one comes with an engine and thanks to the government laws i'll never be able to put an engine in it. which one should i get? also, i need help determining what new tires i should put on it.
There have been some seriously stupid gun threads here, but this one takes the cake.

It's probably illegal in the UK to even throw the deactivated gun at the burglar walking out with your iPad, lest you injure him, and if you do injure him, he'll successfully sue you.
Deactivating a Colt 1911 is a crime, so buy the deactivated Chinese crap...
I would hate to think someone deactivated a Colt for you...
The breechface is cut off at an angle, and the tip of the firing pin is removed, in addition a slot is cut along the length of the slide from the breechface. Not all deactivated pistols are deactivated the exact same way although this gives a general idea. Newly deactivated pistols also have the "action surface" milled off, in the case of the above pistol this would be done by cutting off the forward edge of the chamber and the edge the chamber locks into in the slide.
Get the Colt. It'll be easier to re-sell later.
This has to be a troll....
What the hell difference does it make which one you get if it's deactivated? Get the prettiest one I guess...
As for all the trolls in this thread, move on people I'm not biting, I just wanted some serious advice from people who know this stuff.
That I already know. It's really hard to own traditional handguns in the UK. There are some goofy revolvers with long ass barrels and a kind of hand strap lanyard that as I understand it makes it a rifle under UK law.
The fact is even if he wanted a pistol it would be a big ordeal.
Definitely this...it's not so much trolling as making humor of the absolute stupidity of itFrom the people who know this stuff: you're spending way too much money on something that doesn't work. You'd get similar answers if you wanted to get a GTX 590 without a working core. Serious advice: buy anything else. I knew UK had schizophrenic gun rules but the concept of paying full retail for a non-working gun..."inane" doesn't even begin to capture it.
And of course this too...What's stupid is a dude who is concerned that the build quality of his non-functioning firearm might affect its ability to do nothing.
