I think people should take responsibility for their screw ups. Or at least try. There are to many children in group homes, and adoption agencies in the world.

Just because you have a child at 18 doesn't mean your life is over. It means starting now you are going to act and think like an adult.

If he was man enough to stick his dick in her, he's man enough to raise a child.

Prove your a man, take care of your child!

I despise these threads. It isn't until these types of threads pop up I realize just how immature most of you guys really are.

For both your sakes I hope it's just a missed period.

Amen to that. I got my 18 year old girlfriend pregnant when I was 20. I didn't whine, I didn't even consider abortion. I got a fvcking job and I did what a responsible person would do. Why is that so hard for some people to do?

Same here. I was 20 when I got married and I had a daughter already. Now, that daughter is 16 years old, has her first real job, getting good grades in school, went thru her "first love" relationship, is about to learn how to drive, sings in Chorus in school, has plans for the future, and just lights up my life!

I shudder to think at not having been able to experience the last 16 years with her (her first tooth, word, walking, vaccination, Christmas, vacation, first day of school, etc. etc.)

You're both great examples then! There ought to be more MEN like the both of you. :D

There are PLENTY! Yes, some guys out there are complete a-holes who'd "love 'em and leave 'em" but it takes two to tango. If a woman doesn't want to get pregnant, there are MANY choices available to her AND her partner.

Be a man and take responsibility for your actions. Abortion is NOT a choice. You both made the choice when you decided to have sex. My best friend became a father about 2.5 weeks ago. He went through lots of this. Abortion is killing an innocent person. It doesn't matter how you look at it or from what angle. People who have abortions should be jailed for murder.

abortion is removing an unwanted lump of mass, nothing more.

Can't you find something more worthwhile to do than imposing your "i am mr right, i am a man so i know what it is like for a pregnant woman" BS on others?

People who spew this bs should be put in mental institutions, throw away the key.

So in other words your not bothered by knowing you killed two of your own kids?

Exactly, i MURDERED THEM. It gave me great pleasure MURDERING them.

Until you are in this situation where YOU choose if you are going to have an abortion or not, i suggest you just grow up and shut up.

Taking the responsibility to have protected sex or use other forms of birth control is the acting grown up part. Having an abortion as it would be more convenient to one's life being so young is completely irresponsible. I abhor that line of thinking.

Maybe her profession doesnt cover the cost. Either way, not your business.

The cost? $20/mo. for the pill? If one can't afford that, one certainly doesn't need to be in a relationship to the point that sex is involved with the possibility of having a child (children cost just a WEE bit more than $20/mo.) And when my tax dollars go to cover the health clinic where the abortion is performed, sure it's my business.

It should be everyone's business to foster responsible thinking and it's not just the woman's decision in the matter. The father-to-be has just as much right to decide the baby's future. Just because a woman is the one who carries the baby does not give her carte blanche to have an abortion to make her life more *convenient*.

It doesn't? Who the fvck are you to judge me?

A father. And I'm not judging you. I just question your justification for thinking abortion is such an easy option for women. You completely rule out the father in the picture. Patently absurd.

Of course you do, yet you have never ever been in that situation, you never will be and until you even have the capability TO be, nothing you say can ever touch me.

I find it amusing that people are talking about murdering innocent babies, but when a women was raped it is ok to murder innocent babies.

Of course it was irresponsible of me to get pregnant, but i did get pregnant, i took care of it, i made my choice, because it is MY choice, not yours, and you can save your holier than thou attitude for someone who cares.

I knew it....the "pregnant by rape escape clause". I'd love to see some stats on the # of abortions performed on women who became pregnant from a rape. I'd be willing to bet $100 it's < 1%. Did you even give the father any say in the matter?

Oh christ, you didn't understand what i wrote?

If it is ok to murder innocent babies, it is ok, if it is not, it is not.

Can you see my point? Does the "cherished unborn life" become a lump of flesh when a woman is raped?

You can't have it both ways, it's either one or the other.

Stupidest post i read all day, YOU didn't think of abortion?

Why would you think of an abortion? You were not pregnant, were you?

I know it is hard to understand for some, but we CAN think for ourselves.

The bible says you cant ;)

LoL, that is true.

I agree...I cannot think of any situation in which abortion, imo, is justified. Now, *maybe* a situation where a couple take precautions as if the women were to become pregnant she stands a high probability of dying and the precautions they took failed. That is the only exception I can imagine, yet, even then, it starts that slippery slope of "hey, it's ok in that case...but what if this one little difference was introduced...is that ok?"

And, you failed to answer my question there.

you are absurd, and yes, you were judging me, as a father, just be happy with your own life and don't try to impose the moral on the rest of the world.

I am a mother, i have had abortions, i can say that i made the right choices in both cases when i made them, you can't say you EVER had to choose either, because it was NEVER up to you.

I am so f-cking sick and tired of seeing this bullsh-t "You don't have the right to judge me because you've never had to make this choice" argument. Of course we have the right to judge you. We don't have to experience everything we form an opinion on. Just because we've never been in a position to murder someone or steal, does that mean that we can't judge murderers or thieves? We weren't alive in the 1800's and never had the choice of owning slaves, does that mean we can't judge that it was wrong?

So please people, stop using this asinine argument to defend abortion.

It goes both way, since we can't turn back the clock and try what it will be when she didn't abort. As long she's happy and doesn't regret it, then its the right decision for her. Whether you agree or not if thats the right choice is your right, but it doesn't invalidate her right.

Did the father have any say? was he pregnant? did HE have a choice? yes he did have a choice, never saw him after i told him.

I WAS on birth control, but also bulimic, so i threw it up every now and then, didn't think about it much.

I feel very very sorry for your wife and children. Hopefully, in the future, you will grow up.
Oh, I grew up LONG ago! I know what is right and what is wrong. I understand responsbility and accept the consequences of any mistakes I have made along the way, unlike yourself.

As far as the father in your case, if you were concerned of the cost of raising the child, a simple paternity test and wham...court-ordered child support. Simple. Amazing how many women don't understand that, though.

To the original poster:

Convince her to get an abortion. If she refuses, push her down the stairs or punch her in the gut. You might spend a little time in jail, but it saves you a lifetime of headache. Right now I'd gladly trade a year or two in the slammer to avoid the next 18 years of sh!t I'm going to be subjected to.

I'm divorced and pay $650/mo in child support. I'm happy to pay that, I love my daughter and want to see her taken care of. I'll soon be paying an additional $500/mo to a kid I never want to see. When my ex-girlfriend got pregnant, I tried to convince her to get an abortion. She refused. I tried to get her to put the kid up for adoption. There's no way she can raise it on her own, she can't even take care of herself. But she still refused. So we both made the decision to have sex, but that's where my choice ended. Now she's coming after me for money, for a child she decided to have.

Quick recap: abortion, if not, do it yourself.

Also, get snipped ASAP.
