I'm such a tool and I'm sure this will back fire. A friend of mine I've secretly wanted for years invited me to her birthday party tomorrow so I invited my good friend/neighbor to be my date. I told her my evil plan and she said she'd doll herself up more than usual for maximum jealousy points. I know that's very juvenile but I find the whole thing funny - anyone here every try to pull that? Did it work??? I'm guessing it's going to backfire and I'm going to look like an idiot, but I figure that i'll have some fun.

The situation between me and my crush was odd. First, I was dating when I met her. Then she was dating. Then she broke up with her then bf and I would console her but couldn't hit on her because i didn't want to be "that guy" during her time of need. Then we lost touch, now we're kinda talking casually and she invited me to her birthday. I haven't seen her in person for over a yaer.

But, yeah, i don't think my trick will work, but it'll be a fun acting exercise, i guess.

haha.. sadly true... i have no fear going up and talking to a cute girl.. i'm charming dates 1 to 3 as well but then everything falls apart, EVERY TIME.
