But you also have to realize that your expectations may be seriously faulty.
You can't expect a 10 when most of us on ATOT are a 6 or below. 😉
Looks really aren't all that important in the long run. Sure they need to play a part, but too many people jude people just on outward appearances. I have never gotten interested in a girl because of her looks (although it is a factor). If you are open to all possiblities, you will find more genuine people out there than people who are working hard for approval and only judge by looks.

I know what you mean, I brake up with my ex. She tells me that she can't live without me and that she will never be happy...she's had two boyfriends since then. 🙂
Another situation is with my buddy, this girl and him are serious for about two years, three if you count off and on. He tells her he's not ready for marriage so she splits, couple months later he hears that she's engaged.

This girl was my best friend, she wasn't trying to use me at all, I honestly think she'd love to marry me (she'd love to marry anyone, she just seems that type very clingy, need for companionship). For example, we were best friends, talked all the time, etc. then she got her bf and we literally NEVER spoke. Then we randomly saw eachother out, hung out one time after that and she started to call me every 10 minutes. Things didn't work out between us, and we hadn't spoken until she IMed me to say she was engaged.
I am not saying this because I think "I'm the man," I'm saying that it's just funny how a girl's mind operates. Most girls in the late teens to late 20's (depending on values, area of the country, etc.) have nothing but marriage on their minds.

Not to make a broad generalization, that I'm sure the women on the board will be up in arms about, but in my experience, I've notiecd that women get something in their mind and just settle for whatever they get.

Girls and guys do that ALL the time. it is not just girls doing that.
As of a few months ago, my ex-girlfriend (from 2 years ago) still wants to be with me...but I'm not intersted in the least. She's in a relationship at the moment..so obviously she is settling.
