Riiiiiight. I'll believe that when I see it for myself. Is your imaginary apartment still on the hot side of the hills?

Yes :|:|

Do you guys shoot steel cased Russian ammo out of your ARs? That's what I always shot with my AK and it worked fine. But I've seen mixed reports with steel cased ammo in ARs.

good read regarding steel cased ammo: http://www.ar15.com/content/page.html?id=268

I've shot 20 rounds of Wolf WPA Military Classic .223 out of mine and have another box sitting here. Didn't have any problems at all. Of course, 20 rounds isnt much at all either. Price is like half that of brass ammo if you buy in bulk.

Keep in mind if you shoot the hard nosed stuff at your local automated range, you may damage the mechanism if the bullets go through the shielding.

He's talking about steel cased not penetrator ammo.

Steel cased ammo is fine in your AR. It's just dirty, innacurate, and underpowered. It's fine for plinking, you'll just have to clean more. Make sure you carry a cleaning rod with you to clear stuck cases as steel will do that from time to time.

No no no I'm not talking about the gun.

I'm talking about the gun range. Indoor ranges usually have a pulley and line system to move the targets back and forth. Normally the part where the target connects to the line is protected by a metal shield. Depending on what kind of metal they use you may be able to punch through it with armor piercing, or even regular steel jacketed ammo.

In fact my local range has had such an issue with it they flat out banned all FMJ ammo, which is extreme and has angered a lot of members but it was necessary until they can afford some fancy ballistic steel to protect the pulleys.

Just picked it up.

The upper and lower colors match almost perfectly IRL. And I'm not sure why the buffer tube is purple in the pics :awe:

Stuck a Colt carry handle on the top.

I'm not a big fan of the ergo grip that's on it. I have an extra A2 grip or I could choose something else. Any recommendations? I was looking at the magpul MOE grip.

I like the Magpul CTR stock, it's a lot less wobbly than the regular M4 style stock that's on my S&W 15-22.

I have the magpul MIAD grip on mine. I like it. You can customize it to fit your hand and what you like. I have the Magpul MOE stock and it doesn't wobble at all.

I just got 1000 rounds of Wolf Military Classic .223 for $190 at aim surplus.

I can't buy ammo from aimsurplus, they wont sell to you until you are 21 years old 🙁

They do have free shipping on all of the Magpul grips though. Hmmm
