Situation: Girl I know from school/work, we've been friendly for about 3 months, she's dated a mutual friend but it didn't work out, now I think she's interested in me.
One day at work, I talk about going to an aquarium shop to pick up a few things, she says, "If you ever go there, take me with you, I love that place." Couple of weeks ago we meet up and head over there, spending a while in the car and in the store, conversation is nice, a little on the polite side, since this was the first time we'd hung out solo. Anyhow, we ease into conversation, walking around the store looking at all the fish. While we're at the store, she asks what my favorite color is - that's a flirty, personal-interest type question, right?
Anyhow, afterwards we go to this nice super-casual but great Italian place I know that we happen to be going by, she sits down and we have a great time, we're both talking, the food is good and we're both comfortable, really opening up, etc. As we're driving back towards home, I ask if she wants to come up and see my apartment, just for a minute - I show her my aquarium and my snake (insert joke here) - I know, nerdy, but she seemed interested. Anyhow, I didn't wanna act like I was going to try to make a move or anything, so we were only there for ~5 mins or so. As we're leaving she says she "definitely wants to hang out again." That's good, amiright.
I don't think I was looking at her enough when I thought back on it later, but she was looking at me a lot, pretty much constantly - and actually pretty much for the whole evening - also a sign of interest, right?
We both had busy weeks, so we ended up not meeting up again for while, but then I call her up and ask her to go shooting with me at a local range, since it's something she says she's been dying to do. She sounds excited and agrees. Then the day of, she cancels and says she's got an appointment she forgot about (she's already canceled twice previously, if she cancels again they'll stop taking her at this place). So, I figure, eh, maybe she's giving me the brush off, maybe it's a reasonable excuse. Not a big deal, overall a bit bummed though.
But then she says she is still really interested in shooting, and we make plans to go this week. Meanwhile, I get a postcard from her that she wrote while on a short vacation last weekend. She's "totally stoked" about going shooting, and asks "maybe we can do some frisbee golf next weekend?" Which is a good thing 1.) because she wants to continue doing stuff, 2.) she was thinking of me while on vacation, and 3.) it's kindof an inside joke because I told her this guy that we all hate (the token jackass at work) asked me if I wanted to get together for some frisbee golf a little while ago. So I kinda take that as her being funny, but being interested in hanging out more, right?
Now that all this is written, it seems pretty clear that she digs me (and why not, I ask?) but still, I'd rather get the collected opinion of the ATOT asshats behind me for the upcoming outing.
Edit: we went out tonight, see page 2 for summary.
