YAGT: Flirting with a friend's (female) sister

I recently met a friend of mine's sister, who I find to be a cute and charming girl. I invited the both of them out again this weekend and wonder how taboo making a move on the sister would be. I've hooked up with the friend a while ago but never got past drunken, topless making out, so I gave up on her and are now just good friends. Would making a move on her sister be in bad taste?

Bored out of my mind, updating my YAGTS on 2/23/07
Update : Had a long talk with the friend, a serious one. She said she did not want to be in a relationship with ANYONE, and that it wasn't me. SO, I took that as a clue and invited her sister out again to my birthday party, she's coming. I'll just continue to be nice to her and perhaps hit on her while dancing, or maybe not.

Update

She came to my birthday and had a miserable time - the loft party we went to was very much not her scene. She left, acting very pissy, so much so that her sister apologized. I sent her an email apologizing that the place wasn't her cup of tea and invited her out to a drink, adding that she could pick the place. She replied:
Thanks, Sam. You're very sweet. I'm sorry I was a bitch and left, I'm super crazy. But anyway, I would like to hang out sometime again. I'll let you know when is good for me.

So I'll be hanging out with her solo the first time, without her sister. Don't know where this is heading but thought I'd update you guys anyways.

Picture of her and her sister from my birthday, since everyone calls shens on me!

Update 2

Her reply to my email asking what she was in the mood for.
Well, I haven't been to Karaoke at the Alehouse in a few weeks, so I was thinking of going tomorrow...wanna come?

Yeah, bad taste. The one you've already had something of a relationship with will probably be pissed. It's up to you to determine whether that bothers you.

You know, I thought about that but felt that the rejection (of sorts) came from her end. She gave me the whole "not ready for a relationship" talk after I got tired of just hooking up when drunk... So, if you consider the rejection on her end - would it still hurt her?

Do you really care if it hurts her? I personally would rather get laid even if it means pissing off a female friend.

If she does get mad she will get over it.

Hooking up = sex, not making out with her and convincing her to take her shirt off (good work on that though, kind of a wierd middle ground you got to there).

I've heard its easiest to make the switch by proposing a 3some...

As Sienfeld shows results are mixed.

I do agree somewhat with tuktuk in the semantics of the term "hooking up", normally I consider that having sex, HOWEVER I also hear it used alot as meaning just "making out" or something along that line. It is annoying since you hear that two people "hooked up" after a party and you have no clue whether the person saying that means they just made out or had sex which is a pretty big difference. I also agree that that is a weird middle ground you reached given that you get her to take off her shirt while making out but yet the pants still stay on :(.

I don't think it applies to anything but sex. "Make out" and "hook up" are two terms made of two words. They are both slang for "kiss for an extended period of time" and "have sexual intercourse with," respectively. What reason is there to replace the term "make out" with "hook up"? It only confuses things.

Hooking up means that either the penis or the vagina, or *maybe* the bewbies were out in the open and worked on. It can extend to sex, but guy speek usually refers to that as "fvck." Observe:

Dude one: What happened last night?
Dude two: I hooked up with that chick.
Dude one: Did you fvck her?
Dude two: Nah, her stupid roommate came home and it sort of ended.
Dude one: sh!tty.

"hook up" could just mean lets meet up. Very ambiguous. Here in Maryland at least.

She'd probably still be pissed, yeah.

Yes but we're talking about a different context. You can say "Hook me up with that HDTV" to the guy at Circuit City and not be saying that you want to have sex with the HDTV. But in the context of hooking up with a girl I think it implies sex.

I hate it when a person feels like everything a person does with his/her sibling is also his/her business.

And, by "hook up" I mean that the shirt/bra got off and so did her pants, but aunt flow was cited as a reason to slow down.. sigh..
