...But I'm stressed about this one... First date with a nice young lady in 2 hours but i have no idea where to go. I normally do drinks and dancing but she lost her ID so that's not in the cards. A movie seems like a cop out and dinner seems premature, though she'll probably want to eat and that'll happen anyway. But, official plans wise, I'd like something fun and not pretentious - coffee would be a bad idea in my opinion.

Any ideas? Cheap ideas, my budget is $40 bucks or so since this is a first date.

Went very well, actually. We met at times square to play video games but she made a face at the suggestion - I took the hint and went to a dive that I thought would be pretty lax on IDing. Had a lot of drinks and ran into random friends, which made me look far cooler than I am. Got pretty tipsy and went out to dinner followed by a movie. Normally a bad idea but we were already 3 hours into a date and got a lot of the getting to know you conversation out of the way. Ended up makign out during "The Queen" (odd choice but it was the only movie that started at a decent time - was actually really good) and then she said "you know, I like you". She told me to give her a call after she gets back from her spring break trip and, welps, I shall.

i would say Dave and Busters in Times Square but they ID in the evening if you look like an adult. hmm, how about a museum like MoMA?
 
Ice skating anywhere? indoors or outdoors would be fun. Are there any drop in salsa classes or tango classes in your area? Why not get something to eat and see where that goes?

Me and ice don't mix well together. Cute idea though. Drop is salsa classes sound interesting but, again, I want to look good tonight! Though, for some odd reason, your post reminded me that bowling is an option.. hmmm.. thanks for the suggestions 🙂

Bowling would be good too. I think that a first date is a good way to get to know someone... and when you are open (if you suck at ice skating) with that person, they will like you more because you are sharing with them something about you. Plus, competitive things like bowling or video games at an arcade is good too! What about pool or darts?
