Take it from me as the GAY friend of lots of girls, I know a lot about women. Go for it. You won't regret it. Four years is a long time.

Fixed

Don't hijack...

you posting advice in someone elses YAGT is the equivalent of me telling a brain surgeon where to make his incision.

It's possible, but it depends on why you split up. I dated someone for a few years and we split because she thought we got "exclusive" too young. (we were 17) Nearly 2 years later she called and asked if I was interested in "catching up". I said yes, we started dating again and wound up getting married. It's been 17 years now.

I'll admit that I'm looking for something since I've been single for a bit, but how is considering this girl different from considering any other? It's been so long, she's practically like a completely new option. I was just wondering, once feelings fade for a SO, does it kind of like lock them that way forever.

Ex or not......girls can smell desperation miles away.

No amount of Axe bodyspray or whatever will mask the stench of desperation...

I think keeping things purely sex for awhile may help that, actually. She seems interested in the same right now.

Yeah deffinitely smash it up a few times so she remembers who is boss before you start getting all romanticlly musshy with her.

We broke up because we stopped feeling the same way about each other, that's all. We were young.

After a few dates I'm sure her own intentions/feelings will become clear.
