Voicemail ... I was playing Counterstrike and I think I waited too long. :p

I left my cell and told her when I'm free tomorrow, but I'll call her back tomorrow evening or whatever.

I'll bookmark this thread so I can keep you all posted. I'll try to post pix when I get them :)

You already missed your window of opportunity. Now you're the stalker who calls all the time while she sits and looks at the phone, wishing it would stop ringing...

This is how I sort of met a chick that in 2 years stashed away enought to buy herself a new Mustang GT (2000) and put a nice down on a townhouse...

I met her mom at the place my father worked at (found out later he was her boss, but she didn't know that at the time)....

I was in and out of there regularly during a one month span, she was always asking me if I called...

Finally one day she said her daughter was pretty upset that I didn't call. So I did, I laid it out just like above...

A week later we were in the Florida Keys.....

about 6 months later we moved in together.

Then her parents started complaining about why is my father the boss? Why does he have a bigger house, boat, nicer car? I have no idea WTF they wanted to hear.

One day our joint bank account dropped hard. I tried to call her on her cell to ask what was up then found a crumpled up post-it note with '[Ford Dealership] w/ mom at 6pm...my first new MUSTANG!' so I drove there pissed and there they both were.

My soon to be ex became upset but her mom adamantly said it was time someone took from your family too. After some exchange my now-ex dropped 'I made a second withdrawl too'.

Unfortunately, my power, phone, cable were also shut down and a 'password' was added to the power (it was in her name).

Anyway, the money loss sucked, but my story got me set up in quite a few chick's places until I recouped.

:) enough with the horror story...I needed to vent due to another deal today.

You already called, but make sure you play it that your mom bugged you to call her. Play it up a bit, dont get luvy duvy though at all. Don't be afraid to make a move when you do get out.

How much do you date? When I am single I try to have a few dates/meets a week.

If someone is ever busy when you call, have them call you back...no exceptions (in issues of dating anyway). If not to the unkind you will become a pinata. Either way though, it's the polite thing to do.

Well when I talked to my brother about it + the townhouse (also she took my dog ;)), he first was on the slant that whatever I did was stupid because I'd be arrested and thrown in jail.

I let it go. My worst financial suicide was my first wife, however; she changed after breaking her neck (a la Christopher Reeves, although she recovered to a full-on dancing machine :() and going through 6 months of nothing but the worst crap known to man.

I bought an already firesale home in a great neighborhood at $115k in 1995, put $40k down, added $40k in improvements, had to sell for $102k to her cousin 2 years later or she wouldn't move out and sign divorce papers, ending 5 years of marriage (definitely money on the back end).

Judge made a personal statement to me "I feel really bad for you son"...in the end I lost the house, but she took all her debts and I kept all my assets outside the house.

The whole story is lost here, but it was a mess. In that I did fight a lot, being young and going out most nights (same as her)...she would send trouble my way.

im pretty cynical about women as it is... if i were ever to go through the stuff you are telling me, i would hate every last one of them with the fury and anger that rivals god

i give you kudos for not going on a shooting rampage by now ;)

in my 20's I did basically do that. Since 15 until that time, I was in Martial Arts (a mix), wrestling, football, in the gym every day. I did all the retarded things that went along with it. I hurt and was hurt.

Now I understand it all. People are just who they are. They really are not trying to hurt you (assuming you did have good times together)...they are just different.

Most have to make the other person the bad guy so they feel better about themselves wanting out.

Heres a hint never leave voice mail.

Women like to feel chased, if you leave a voice mail asking her to call you back she probably won't, meaning you'll have to call back and make u look less like a man :p

Get her pic from the shop's security cam first.

Hah, I'll recommend we swap pics so she's not freaked out (i am confident in how *I* look... I am curious to see her :p)

This is only recommended if you are meeting someone online through dating sites/rooms.

If you are being set up on a blind date just make it simple, get a drink somewhere or coffee. You will have a set 20 mins of time that you can bail after or continue on.

Also if one person does take off after the drink it doesn't mean they are not interested. Ask if they would like to do 'this' again or suggestion would they like to grab lunch or dinner (specify which and target a date).

Repeat.

I'm not the greatest at picking up chicks but I would definitely NOT call this Sat. afternoon. Shows desperation. Maybe Sunday night would work but otherwise put it off for a day or two.

You already called. She has your number. Ball is in her court. Ofcourse something can happen or come up and that is when you call a few days later.

Sound advice. Any ideas on what I should say if I have to wait till say, Monday to call her back?

I will call her in the evening Saturday if I don't get a call by midday. I think I will probably look like a schmuck though, because I already didn't call her back at the right time -- and then she didn't return my call. But it's only 9am right now... I told her to call at around 1pm or so. I guess we will see.

Already the above would be to complicated for me. When you leave a voice mail, I try to avoid stating times and when I will be calling/expecting them to call back.

Just say, sorry I missed you, give me a call when you get a chance.

Leave it at that next time.
