Good stuff. I am particuarily not a fan of CL because they pimp their products to death...but they work well for the money.

The serving sizes are hayuge too.

I have issues using dumbbells for my bench. I don't what the problem is. I'm 5'7", 135lbs, and I work out on the bench with 145lbs (5x5s - not sure what my max is,) but I really can't get past the 45lbs dumbbells. They just shake too much for me to get a good, clean lift.

I seem to have problems stabilizing/balancing the weight.

Why was it a nightmare? Pull them to your knees...sit down...lay back...lift...?

No offense or anything dude...just never seemed to have a problem with using dumbells (yes...I have gone over 100 on each side).

Nice job! My dumbells currently only go to 50, so I've been doing the barbell bench. I'm at around 225 x 10 times during my pyramid. I don't have a spotter so I don't dare to put on too much weight. I don't think I could do 100 dumbells though and I'm 185 pounds.

How do you like the Controlled Labs stack? Also, did you get sponsored by them or just decided to go with that company for a stack? I got some samples of Purple Wraath and Green Mag to try out after I'm done with my RPM.

Nice now you can DB bench what my grandmother does! 😉

LOL just kidding, very nice.

Make sure to wrap your wrists if you go past that, a year from now they will thank you.

I don't know dude...I think everyone's wrist respond a little differently...yeah...that's probably a pretty safe assumption.

Or at least I hope it is...if not my wrists would have been jacked a long time ago. 🙂

Well it doesn't help my wrists with all the cleans I do also.

I have a log going on it, so far its great. The sample wont do it justice. Its a tad bit pricey up front, but lasts for 2+ months. Next time I cycle on it I'll probably try GlycerGrow as well. Gonna try Orange Triad soon too.

DO NOT do glycergrow out there in that heat. It is a diuretic and will remove a lot of needed water from your body causing you to become dehydrated a lot more quickly.

Congrats, how do you feel 'bells compare to a bar? I'm thinking of giving them a shot just to do something different. I'm not exactly gaining, since I'm eating next to nothing trying to drop a few (tens of) pounds 🙁

Dumbells are MUCH harder than using a barbell. You have to independently balance each weight and are forced to stabilize. Plus your range of motion is much further down since you don't have a bar hitting your chest. You can't cheat as much either by bouning a bar off your chest.

Depending on individual strengths, I would guess that people can barbell press anywhere from 25%-50% more than they can dumbell press.

z0mb13, the key to weightlifting and staying motivated is not to focus on what everyone else can lift, it can be a motivator or goal setter, but as long as you are making improvements thats all that matters.

Although you can get a great stretch on dumbbell bench press, I've found that most people tend to artificially limit their range of motion on this lift so they can increase their poundages.

lol, weighing in at 150 lbs makes it much easier to bench my weight. Lifting is fun, but I find running to be better! (Old soccer player, just can't give it up!)
