For the guys that have drafted - where did Adrian Petersen (The *real* one from Oklahoma, not the scrub for the Bears) go in your leagues?

I'm in a keeper league and stacked with RB's (Sitting on LJ, Rudi Johnson, and Brandon Jacobs) but might consider letting Jacobs go for Peterson. I just think Peterson is going to have a HUGE season next year. ('08 season)

Our draft is this coming Sunday but I can tell you that there is a lot of hype on Petersen. Taylor will enter the season as the starter but I think Adrian will take over that job with a few games. Right now, I have Peterson as a high #3 RB and close to becoming a low #2. I'm projecting him to probably go in the mid to late 3rd in our 10 man league. He may go a tad sooner if he continues to look as well as he has in preseason.

There is a decent amount of hype, but I don't think you'll see a transition to Peterson (as a primary) that quickly. He'll share carries with Taylor and likely do fairly well. He should have time to develop in the offense, but to not utilize the full benefit of that kind of one-two punch with both in the running game would be foolish.

Peterson will get his time, but he won't be the premiere guy this season. Barring some type of injury or woeful underproduction, this is my opinion.

I expect him to be a solid #2 RB this season and will probably be a great pickup for keeper leagues.

To put this into perspective, I had the 13th pick in a 14 team league and ended up with Maroney, Henry, Bulger in that order. The drop off from Manning to Bulger is pretty much non-existent over the course of a season.

according to yahoo stats from last year with the current settings, the difference between bulger and manning was 100+ pts. i can almost bank on 30+ tds a year from manning. bulger has never thrown more than 25 in the last 4 years. shrug :D we'll see how it turns out. i'm either right or wrong and will win accordingly. besides i had the chance to take henry too... but i never trust a denver back after the last few years until shanahan sticks with one person for at least a year.
