Texas salesman called racial slur and shot at by homeowner, saved by tablet device blocking bullet

A Texas door-to-door salesman was called a racial slur and shot at by a resident at a home he stopped at — but was miraculously saved by his electronic tablet device that blocked the bullet.

He wasn't shot at, he was shot. "Shot at" implies they attempted to shoot him but missed.

Thing that stood out to me though, was the police statement:
'Police said Monday the case is still under investigation and officers "will be writing a warrant" on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.'

Wow...fucking Texas for ya. Aggravated assault? The guy was trying to kill him, and might've if not for that tablet. It should be attempted murder, FFS.

We saw how the Tennessee legislature treated its black members. Just another racist wing of the racist Republican Party.

Props to Haley Williams for not only standing up for Allison Russell but for calling out that legislature for who they are, bigots.

Well that was a mighty white ruling from that judge. Even after a writer of the bill testified that the intent was different than how the school district was applying the law.
