Body cam video of police interaction with 5-year-old shows 'every adult in this situation failed this child' | CNN
A Maryland police department is under a spotlight after body camera video was released showing officers locate a 5-year-old boy who fled school, return him to the building and scream in his face, berate him and encourage his mother to physically abuse him.www.cnn.com
Side note. Officer fitness standards are pretty loose in the south
While I guess some would consider MD as being in the “South” as the Mason-Dixon Line is the northern border of the state, it did not secede back in the Civil War, and very few of us would likely consider ourselves “southerners.”
Anyway, this particular county borders DC, and I’m kinda surprised to see it being MoCo, and not one of the more rural areas getting caught up in this. I work in a neighboring county and my general impression is that MoCo officers were both well paid and well trained.
I couldn’t watch the whole video, after the officer started screaming in his face in their school, and saying he needs to be beaten, it was clear that none of the adults present had any business considering themselves as such.
Equal parts sad for the kid, and disgusted at the officers.
