I would think twice, while the NSX has its own place, I'd pick a 911 over it without a doubt, it feels like much more of a "race car" once you sit inside and drive it, you just feel that there's power for anything you'd want to do not to mention the excellent AWD setup, it's one of the few AWD cars I liked.

No but it has god like handling and weight distribution. Thats what matters most on a road course.
 
Seems like the only way to have a sportscar appeal to most Americans is to put a motor in any car that can produce a sh*tload of torque so they can have their stoplight races and floor it on freeways. Yey.

Yeah, that's true. How much do 'track' times matter to me, I'm never going to take my car to a track. And if I do, it'll just be a few times. Just being practical.

Oh, the NSX is a really nice car, and has its niche. It's just that I'd much rather have something that was fun to drive all of the time(Not that the NSX isn't, its just not in its element when not flying around a track). You want a car to be at home when you drive it, and since I'm going to be spending my time around town, on the highway, the odd curvy mountain road, etc. then I'll take a Viper or better yet the new Z06. Or our(I say that, though its just in the family.. one day hopfully 😛) 1970 Challenger R/T.

All of those cars are in the 70-80k price range, or close to it for comparison. The 'Vette is a little less, and the Challenger can stand in for any old big block muscle car.

I love racing porkers. It's not so much that the cars are slow and overweight, it's the attitude of the owners. Fun fun fun. 😉

As much as I love good engineering and design, being a honda fanboy and all, I will say that sh*tloads of torque has its own place, I mean seriously, a big american V8 or V10 will make you excited, that's something that the 6 cylinder in the NSX won't do, at least not in the same way anyway.
