Saw an infomercial about this product, so I looked it up online.

It looks like metal fan blades that goes into your carb/air intake that spins and forces more air into your engine, thereby increasing gas mileage and adding performance?

Anyone use it?
Does it work?
I'm thinking if it does work, they would come stock on every car since it's such a cheap and simple part.

It doesn't spin itself, it supposedly directs the air through the blades into a tornado type of flow.

It doesn't work, don't waste the money.

Yeah it works.... it sucks the money right out of your pocket like a Tornado.

But for your car, it's absolutely worthless.

Their site has a link to an ABC affiliate who tested it and showed that it does increase mileage.

Think about this for a second,.... dont you think that if making the air enter into your cars combustion chamber in a vortex saved fuel, why wouldnt every car manufacturer do it?

One of two paranoid options:

1. They're in league with big oil

2. They don't have the patent, the Tornado people do. Duh. :)

This is interesting because I had a Chevy salesman explain this same type of process on the Chevy Tahoe. Apparently, on the 02 and greater models air comes through around the right headlight and then is collected and channeled to an area where the air was swirled around prior to be distributed to the combustion chamber. I joke not, he stated it provided better performance.

And I can show you sites which claim to have proof that Elvis is alive.

They are just marketing their product. I would not trust a news affiliate for anything car related. In fact, I wouldn't trust the news for much about anything.

You are beginning to sound like you actually believe in this scam. That's a shame. Those with common sense know it's bullsh!t.

I would guess that if anything it will slightly decrease the efficiency of the engine.

Most new cars have manifold and combustion chamber designs that swirl the air in the combustion chamber so the fuel mixes with the air. But this is right before the air enters the cylinder. The swirl will not stay all the way from the intake.

This device is worthless.

I would guess that if you put this in your car, it will attract tornados that will destroy your hometown and kill everyone you love.

You can install yourself in less than 3 minutes.
That includes popping the the hood, disconnecting the airbox tubing, putting in the blades, reconnecting everything and closing your hood.

you want SMOOTH air flow through your intake, not turbulent. On fuel injected motors, the only place you want swirl is in the combustion chamber/possibly intake tract of the head, and this won't do that. junk.
