Hehe my financial situation is different than most 22 yr old college grads. I could buy the car with cash and still have plenty leftover if I wanted. :Q

Trust fund?

Man, it shows if you don't know what an evo was ;) Too much time spent on a carrier!

Get yourself a G35 Coupe. Up your budget to $35k and the ladies will swoon. 350z and rx8 are for the masses ;)

obligatory STi post :)

I hate that car....though I do admit it has great performance.
Why, if I may ask? :)

Would you rather have an Evo? :Q

:p

I don't like the way it looks. What the hell is an Evo??
Mitsubishi's answer to the STi.

Actually, I don't know which one came out first, but that's the way I like to look at it. ;)

It's a bit cheaper than the STi, and offers nearly identical performance - although I hear the cars have quite different personalities.

I've already been to Mazda to check out the RX-8. Looks like I'm going to the Infiniti dealership tomorrow. :D

The G35 would definately be a good choice, yes.

I'm more into the STi thing. I can see where it wouldn't be some peoples thing though.

350Z, mine's on order
The G35 is nice but a bit heavier, if you want a touring type of car get the G35. If you want more of a sports car then get the 350z (plus you'll save a few grand).

That's a given, but money aside:

I have to say that if you take the rx8 out for a drive and then the 350z or g35c you'll be hard pressed to buy the rx8. It's a very nice car, don't get me wrong, but it's a family-man sports car. It seats 4 comfortably. And with that comfort you sacrifice power - a lot of it. The G35 will summarily trounce it on the highway, as will the 350z. The 350 is nice, but the G35 is infinitely (har har) more class.

I have to agree w/ you on the rx-8. As for the G35, it's a little more money but it just doesn't have that Z heritage behind it. At least for me....

Yeah a tricked out 350z is nice for sure, but I think a girl would probably respond better to a 35c - that is assuming he is buying this to pick up chicks.

once you have the Z, chicks will be the last thing on your mind ;) Just kidding....
The funny thing is that there are plenty of G35c around the bay area, but I've seen few Z's so on rarity factor alone (at least for a few years) the Z wins. I'm just bitter I don't have the cash to get a G35 6mt :frown:

I'm not saying it's a girly car, but I will say that of the last 4 g35cs I've seen 3 were driven by younger girls. Seems to be an in thing for them. I've yet to see a girl driving the z.

Of course G35 sedans are driven by middle agers :)

Lots of chicks (and unfortunately gay men) like the s2000....I'm getting one myself . Only about 30 grand also. Its a convertible...so somewhat more flashy than your ordinary car.

Believe it or not I had a RX-7 in my younger days.

Me and my RX-7

Of course, I bought it used for a song.

I drove it for 2 yrs before it was stolen from my driveway.

can't... there are no manual enthusiast left in the region I'm in. Well there's 4 left, and they're all white. Been to 3 different dealers, they all said the samething.

Rip, I had a RX-7 too. FANTASTIC car, loved it. Handled like it was on frickin rails.
Either way, the SVT Cobra will absolutely trounce any car yet listed in this thread. And from my viewpoint, I want a chic that prefers good ole Detroit Iron to some Instant Rice burner. ;)
Hence, I stick by my guns.

I bought one of those rx-7's for $200. It was a beat up old junker, I learned to drive stick in it. Turned around and sold it for $200 after I was done hehe
