twist and pull. pulling w/o twisting usually won't work as well. they sell special hose pullers too at kragen and autozone

Another piece of advice...

When you pull the filter out, you're going to get fuel spillage. Don't be underneath it! If you have a way to clamp the hoses shut, do it. Will save you a lot of hassle and cleanup.

Be careful not to damage the retaining feature of the clamps, or you could have a fuel leak/gusher...

First, buy the Hanes manual from ADv Auto. Very helpful.

Second, I had heard that the coolant lines on a lot of Japanese cars have adhesive on the ends of the lines to keep them from busting off as easily. The fuel lines may have the same thing, I'm not sure.

Third, register and post on NASIOC (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums) for more assistance. Or just search around NASIOC for a bit, I'm sure you'll find your answer. :)

It was a joke. Gasoline and cig lighter don't mix. You could burn up the car when the hose comes loose and gas spills.

If you are still having problems getting the fuel filter lines off your fuel filter here are a couple of suggestions that I use. First using a small pick or screwdriver and pry between the hose that the filter to break the seal. Second once the seal is broken use a pair pliers to work the hose loose and then pull the hose off.

When putting the hose on the new filter you can use some WD40 or similar lubricant to slide the hoses on easier. Make sure to tighten the clamps but don?t over tighten them to cause the hoses to swell or distort.

Good Luck,
