4. 1971 Pontiac GTO (400 ci V-8, auto, 10 mpg) bought, fixed up and resold for a profit, high school
5. 1968 Ford Mustang (200 ci I-6, manual, 22 mpg) college car, replaced motor and most of drive line myself
6. 1977 Cadillac Seville (350 ci V-8, auto, 16 mpg) college car, loved it, but was t-boned/totalled by a man running a red light
7. 1989 Honda Civic LX (1.6 liter I-4, manual, 30 mpg) first new car, married, put 150,000 miles on it
8. 1984 Nissan Pickup (2.4 liter I-4, manual, 24 mpg) good truck, eventually sold for a profit
9. 1996 Saturn SL - bought new for wife, didn't drive much
10. 1992 Volvo 740 (2.3 liter I-4, auto, 22 mpg) bought used for cash, put 180,000 miles on it
11. 2001 Mitsubishi Spyder GT Convertible (3.0 liter V-6, manual, 24 mpg) - bought new, terrible car, divorced / mid-life crisis vehicle, sold after 1 year
12. 2002 Ford Thunderbird Convertible, with Hardtop (3.9 liter V-8, auto, 20 mpg) Current and only car, bought used, love it!
I'm 40, and I had a hardship license at 15. As you can see, I'm not much of a "brand loyalist." I'm motivated by a good deal.
