Anyone have any experience doing this? What about doing this in a Firebird (like it should be ;))?

How much should it cost to have a custom shop do it?

Can't use a FORD it's just WRONG!

That said, my friend modified his Camaro. Basically there was a Light Kit you could buy in auto parts stores that had two of the sequential lights (a 'left' and a 'right'). The lights went in opposite directions so it went <.> <..> <...> <.....> then >.....< >...< >..< ><. (The < > = the lights, use your imagination for the rest).

Basically he broke off one side of the kit and mounted the other under the hood. Set it to start when he enabled his alarm. It was a bit cheesy but it worked. At least it was still on a GM F-Body platform.

I saw one on a Geo Metro once pulling into Wendy's. It was pretty cool, it had the Knight Rider thing goin on, it was lowered, had decent rims on it, booming stereo, but then I just realized...IT'S A FREAKIN METRO. I LMAO, got into my Chevy Chevette, with two Pioneer 12's and Pioneer GMH-100 amp and boomed out of the parking lot...ahh those were the days...

I've seen a few T/A's converted over to KITT, and i'm talking full conversion, down to the cream colored leather interior, the funky steeringwheel, bowlingball hub caps, the coputer dash, and a stereo with the lights that show he's talking. And the Red Eye on the front.

That's not particularly lame.

Taking a ford probe and doing this is VERY lame.

Try google.

In short, it was an A-Team, Dukes of Hazzard, McGyver, era TV show. The car was a Firebird with some interesting mods.

Yeah. Great.

You could also put on a little leather jacket, roll the sleeves up and get ur mullet-enhanced perm on, too.

This is a sh!t idea. Even worse on the Probe, that car is a four wheel joke as it is.

On second thought...........

It was just an idea. Everyone remain calm.

;)

I just thought it might look neat...........and I had run into a Knight Rider episode on Kazaa.....................and it was like 4 a.m.

They can laugh all they want...it doesn't matter. My car, my dream, and my mods. And I will have a KITT replica one day.

There use to be COMPLETE kits to make a Trans AM look just like Kitt. Some guy near Wilmington did one. Don't know if he did the inside also, but the outside is a perfect 1st season kitt car.

BUT be careful, DON'T use red. Red on the front of a car = you getting big ticket or worse arrested. Use Amber

My friend and I built a knight rider circuit for my Ford LTD. it was quite awesome, but my LTD broke down and we never put it on and drove it around.

Here is a video of it. Someone might want to mirror it for me.

I actually had an idea of doing a bright purple scanning light in the lower grille of a new Pontiac Grand Prix I'm looking at. It would have a cool foggy "scanning" effect...you wouldn't be able to see the light directly. I think it would work. I'll post pics if I ever do it.

who did the voice for kitt,he is a good actor in his own right...

Actor William Daniels supplied the voice of KITT. He was never seen in an episode of Knight Rider. He can be seen in St. Elsewhere as Dr. Mark Craig and currently as a professor on Boy Meets World
