FYI, I did find custom mounts for a H22 in a CRX. They're not from Hasport tho. If you go h22 it will be FAST. I'm not smoking crack when I say 13's, maybe even 12's since the car doesn't weigh much.

I'd probably go the coupe route as the CRX engine compartment is just so damn small.

check this hatch out!

If I came over to your shop and that car was there, I'd be leaving with it right quick!

Yeah, you have to cut rear cross-member to shoe-horn that h22 into a CRX;)

When since I only need to drive it 22 miles back to his house I don't think it's worth the plane ticket to Detroit.

22 miles... that's the way you go if you don't mind driving on horrible roads filled with potholes and drunk drivers. You want to deliver that thing safe and sound, right? I could plot you a nice quiet route that wouldn't extend the drive by more than, say, 800 miles...

Run 12s for more around $2k including the car instead of $10k.

But they're not as common so its more conspicuous.

If was to buy a Dodge, it would be at least 25 years old and would look a little like this

why do you wanna waste your money on a FWD car that will be only marginally quick?

If you get a first gen DSM, 240sx or those crazy minivans. Oh yeah 7g will also get you a nice Grand National add some larger turbo, catback and intercoolers/blow off valve and you will run circles around any honda out there

because it will be servings as a daily driver to get me to and from work and I hate paying $2.25 a gallon.

Yeah it doesn't have to be a turbododge. Thats just my choice for sleepers. A tbird turbo coupe/super coupe, a buick t-type, mazda 626 turbo and lots of other much better options then a civic.

Most of those cars including the turbodoges will get good mileage. Even the t-type won't be bad.

umm put down the crack pipe... CRX 2200lbs, h22 will add another 100-200 give or take some. So maybe 2400lbs, h22 comes with 160lb/ft . Youd' probably do high 13s on good tires

hah and you think turbo civic will be cheap on gas? First off it will take premium and second youll be lucky if you get more than 20mpg

I used to have a 270hp awd talon and that thing barely got 20 mpg.

I bought my turbo Shadow for $800
Got a massive NPR intercooler - $220 shipped
S60 turbo with .63 A/R exhaust housing - $350
3" Downpipe - 210
Forged Ross pistons - $255
Intercooler piping with all couplings and clamps, K&N cone - $200
Socketed computer ready for a custom burn - $100

I'll be getting everything installed this summer

Basically, all the makings for 300+ HP, not to mention the car already had Konis and Eibachs when I got it, so it's a friggin go-kart in the corners.

It's not the slickest car around, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper to get power than with any Honda. Granted, a Honda is much smoother and easier to live with from day to day. In any event, I'd recommend a project car with a turbo (something like a DSM maybe) since it's much easier to get some extra power from it.
