lol...actually, the Canadian Forces school of driving...the only place where they'll let you drive 5 ton trucks with your beginners's license.

I have Young Drivers, but that was eons ago.

Captain Obvious and his sidekick, Oblivious Boy, strike again. I realized I was an idiot. My problem is, I need to learn from experience. Usually from bad experience.

doing a turn at 50mph in the rain that felt like ice = even more retarded ;)

BTW, the above comment was a joke so don't get all upset. I have learned my fair share of lessons at the cost of my wallet and my pride. Shake it off, pay for it, and learn, thats all you can do

You going through insurance?

1999 Mazda Protege SE.

Yes. It was on a busy throughfare. Some fvcktard slowed down and yelled, "Going a little fast, were you?" I told him to go fvck himself with a 2x4.

I don't have collision with my insurance agency. It's all coming out of my pocket.

Hey sorry about that man. I was just telling you the obvious!

you should tell your parents as soon as possible. they'll yell at you for a few hours. that might give you a chance to learn from someone else's experience.

seriously, if you don't drive a little safer you won't be able to learn anymore lessons. Also the next could kill someone else besides yourself.

I really hate idiot drivers. And you sir, are just that.

I think I need new tires, too. I went around at 50, and I lost traction immediately.

At least you are ok. I did the same thing too when I was young. I had one bald tire on my GTI and took a turn real fast to make the light. That wheel lost traction and I hydroplaned right up the curb. Strange this was it was all in slow motion yet I felt helpless. You'll learn to deal with things like that in time. I still fishtail in my car once in a while but I kind of expect it now when its wet so it doesn't phase me anymore.

I called as soon as it happened. It was only 5 minutes away from my house. He came, helped me put the spare on so I could get to work. He took the other tire to the garage so it can get fixed. The car is still perfectly drivable, just lots of cosmetic damage.

Hey, everyone makes mistakes. I'm usually very safe and courteous. I just didn't realize that could happen while driving!

listen man...you can kill someone not thinking like that. I don't care if you off yourself, but I know what would happen if you even hurt my son driving like that.

-Front left tire popped
-front right rim bent, tire possibly bad as well.
-Right headlight bezel broken
-Hood dented
-Front facsia broken
-engine bracket bent.

I'm probably looking at 2 grand in repairs, because I'm a total NOOBTARD. FVCK! The car is still drivable, but I'm on the spare at the moment. Hopefully the regular wheel (the one that I just got a new rim for 3 weeks ago!) will be fine

Goddamnit, I wish I didn't have to learn EVERYTHING through experience. It always costs too much in the end.

qft

Wow, and you couldn't find anyone else to blame?? I'm impressed. ;)

Glad no one was hurt.

Well, I checked the damage out again at lunch. It APPEARS that the damage is mainly cosmetic...the right headlights brackets are toast, same with the facsia. Some of the bumper brackets are gone too. There's a small dent in the right front rim, along with a nice cut in the right tire (getting that replaced today)

My dad e-mailed me, said that I can pick up the other tire on the way home...it was too badly cut to fix, so I got a new one.

50 Kilometers per hour. about 30 Miles per hour. Not really that fast when you think about it, and I was slowing down. I just hydroplaned right into the curb.

ouch, be very luck you didn't knock down the pole. they will rape your ass for something like that. my friend got hit with about $13,000 when he fell asleep at the wheel and knocked one down.

I'm glad you're OK and everything, but come on. Not really that fast?

Taking a turn at 30MPH when the conditions are nice out is fine, depending on the turn. Taking a turn at 30MPH in the rain is dangerous for many drivers. Taking a turn at 30MPH in torrential rain is just outrageous. I'm just glad you weren't accelerating into the turn at 30MPH.

Please turn in your license until you learn how to drive properly.

check your suspension components also. if you've hit hard enough to bent a rim, chances are alignment and parts may be damaged.
