I submit that since pinstripes are not badges, then no, it does not count and you have not violated any tackiness laws. In fact, having removed pinstripes actually has the opposite effect, and you sir have won a battle in the war for good taste.

I've seen pinstripes that looked good, but I sure as hell wouldn't pay for them.

Halik, I'm starting to get the impression that debadging only looks good when there's a center logo that could stay (the Audi logo in the center). For the truck, the tail would look very awkward just bare. I don't know, for now I'll keep the badges on. ;)

Debadging defintely makes the car look cheaper not cleaner.

You know how people say cig smoking is the gateway to drugs, well debadging is the the gateway to ricing.

Good lord leave your cars alone people, if you didn't like the look you shouln't have bought it in the first place.

The chrysler logo thing on the hatch of my '95 dodge minivan fell off, if that counts.

You should have used that time to wash it instead of wasting it to debadge it. Believe me, a clean car with badges looks a heck of a lot better than a debadged car that has never been washed.

I haven't debadged my car yet. But as has been mentioned on a black car with black windows it does look pretty good. I always remove the dealer badge immediately though.

The only debadging I endorse is the removal of a dealer badge.

I debadged my '94 Z28 and it looked very nice.

People often thought it was a V6 which was kinda cool in a sleeper sorta way.

i debadged my jetta on the rear. it just makes it look cleaner. before it, it had the Jetta GLS logo on the right back side but nothing on the left back side. taking it off just made it look cleaner and symmetrical. had nothing to do with trying to make it look like a model it isn't. that car is slow regardless.

That's where I got the idea from! I realized now that's it's kind of lame and they'll stay on for now. I'll probably just get rid of that dealership plate soon, even though we had a great experience there with buying the car 4 years ago.
