I think it is stupid and tells other people "hey, I'm stupid"

Not trying to slam. That's just what I think.

even worse is replacing the original badge with a different one. example, taking off a mercedes-benz E430 and putting on an E55 AMG badge. i HATE that. putting a badge on doesnt magically give you that extra horsepower/features of that car.

Same with the people that don't own an M series BMW. But that doesn't stop them sticking an M badge on their 318i. lol

Heh-heh, yeah, I see lots of idiots who put the M badge on their 7 series, trying to impress someone...but anyone who knows Bimmers, knows there was NEVER a M7 from the factory...

Depends on the car, some look okay some look stupid.

Also as others have said, depends if the rest of the exterior is stock. With tinted windows and aftermarket/tinted lights, it can look pretty sleek. Post some pics of your truck for a better personalized opinion.

The only "badge" i have removed from my car was the one with the dealers name on it. Besides that, I answerd no.

If all you are going to do is take the badges off, I say don't. If you were going to make other modifications to make it look more sleek (tinted windows, a/m rims, etc), then you take off the badges.

But ultimately, of course, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and WTF do you care what other people behold? :D

Everyone seems to agree on one point: rebadging in any form is lame.

Debadging looks cheap IMHO. But whatever floats your boat. I consider debadging your vehicle in the same line as "ricing" your vehicle.

I'm not a fan of de-bagdging; however my experience with it usually involves people who buy the cheaper of two models, trying to "hide" evidence of their cheapness by taking the badges off. i.e. the guy who buys the 500SL instead of the 600SL; then takes the badges off hoping people might think he's got the 600.

But, since you have a Tundra, I'm sure your motives are different. If you like the look, you should do it... that's all there is to it.

I have a Ranger (2005) but in 2006 models they used a much cleaner fender emblem so I tore off the 2005 ones and put the 2006 ones on. Much better I think.
not the guy that buys the 500sl, but the guy that buys the 318i

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH you guys have that out where you are too? I can't tell you how many 318i's and 325's debadged around here...IT's an M3 RLY guys!!!!

I think they forget whose car it belongs to, their name should not belong on something I own.

LOL BMW's are rather scarce in Anchorage, but it seems like MB is everywhere... I'd love to see some of these upgrade-badged Bimmers so I can point and laugh.

Reminds me of the local guy who put a V8 Hemi badge on his tiny little Neon.
