I'm leaning along the lines of the Corolla AE6. Do you guys know how many ponies it makes?

Not enough.

I hope you're not in California. Don't ride the stupid bandwagon.

Everyone is out prowling for the Corolla AE6 because of autocrossing abilities.

yeah right... everyone is jacking up the prices for Corolla AE86s in California because of the drifting trend. a miata would run circles around that corolla in an autocross. people watch too much initial d and think that corolla is invincible.

Two fixes for you 🙂

Put "japanese" in the title rather than "import" if you are only looking for a japanese car. tool.

anyways, 1973 corolla or something like that. 😛

an old pre-'93 volvo 740 will have a much nicer ride than an old crappy corolla.

I'll sell you mine for 3k. 😛

heh my K-Car is probably 95% metric. It sucked when I first got it because I had all SAE tools from working on my AMC.[/quote]

I love/hate working on my AMC, such a mix of parts, they used whatever they could find. Some metric, some standard.

bR is right. I've never seen an AE86 autocross.

It is a drifting fad.

I have. It did pretty well, of course it wasn't street legal and had a full cage. The car was setup quite well, it would lift the inside rear wheel ABOVE the pylons! It did quite well on both occasions I saw it run.

On another note, htere was a Isuzu Impulse Stylus (sp?) lift the inside rear wheel above the pylons. They were able to cut much closer lines around the track!
