130k is nothing on one of those and think of it this way. For $1k if it last a year and blows up your still better off than you would have been making payments on a new car.

Its a grand marquis, man, you MUST BUY IT!!!!
and its a '91. Best vintage.
I love Sables and Grand Marquis. They are so awesome. You have no idea how many people can fit in my 91 Sable. the grandmarquis is just a sable plus another half sable, or thereabouts. You should totally go for it man, you may never find another grand marquis for 1000 dollers. I'd hat to pass up a chance like that.
Yeah the backseat can seriously hold 4 or 5 people no problem... and the trunk could fit probaly 4 dead bodies.

I laugh because my dad's 88 park avenue (the electronic everything version) has 218,718 some odd miles on her, and it runs like a charm (3800 engine)...Originally posted by: Ornery
130K miles would be too much for me.

We also have a 94 dodge intrepid with 186,000, and aside from a little minor problem that needs to be fixed with the fuel injectors... it works astonishingly well (3.3 liter engine, gets great gas mileage, probably 525 miles to a tank of gas if you drive it all highway miles)
And finally, I have a 96 chevy blazer with 132,890 miles on it. It's a great running vehicle...
The key to getting used vehicles, is to find ones that have been taken care of, both on the inside, and under the hood and exterior surfaces.
If it passes those and runs decent, it's a hell of a deal. My dad got his park avenue for $1,000 and he just fell in love with that car. It had 208,000 miles when we got it, and that was just back in the fall. They run. Might have to do various tune ups, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than making a continuous monthly payment.

I'd call it more "stately" than "ugly". It is a handsome and very "adult" vehicle. Mature and refined.Originally posted by: WinkOsmosis
The only problem is it's ugly as sin, but that can be considered pimpin' too so I dunno.
