I would go for the 550, only because its the top of the line model that plays mp3s. Only the 450 plays it, none of the other ones do.

Unless you really need the preamp outputs of DEH-P7500MP, you'd be better off with DEH-P5500MP.
Organic display is just gimmick. Not only that, it is distracting.
Keep your eye on the road and you will never see your display that way.

I don't think the 750 is able to play mp3s. The 550, which I recommend, can. The ability to play mp3s is great. You don't need a cd chagner anymore.

Any Pioneer player that ends with MP can play MP3s, FYI.

Ooooh ok. That explains the MP. It looks like the 750's remote can't attach to the steering wheel, as showin this ebay auction.

Yeah, I'm not sure. The one they are picturing is the 7500 though and not the 750.

All of these show the 7500 though. And it looks like they copied and pasted Pioneer's description of the 740. From what I've read the new 750 have 6.5v RCAs and not 4v.

What's the difference between the Premier line and the regular Pioneer line? The Premier DEH-P850MP head unit looks EXACTLY the same as the regular Pioneer DEH-8500MP. I looked at all the specs and they are both exactly the same. The premier has the steering wheel and the other has a card remote. Hardly enough changes to separate the product lines.

Why? The biggest flash card's i've seen is 512MB and they are hella expensive. A 700MB CD-R costs a few cents.

In addition to using a cd, accepting a compactflash card would be very useful imo.

1GB compactflash, $155 after MIR

and if I'm not mistaken they are up to 3gb now.
