If you find a deal on the Lemond Sarthe, let me know. 😀 Lemond steel + Campy + orange... mmmmm. Like buttah!

I'd love to have Campy but I don't want to pay $2k for a bike. I know my wife doesn't want me to pay $2k for a bike. 😉

Considering I just blew $900 a few months ago on a fancy folding bike, same story. No regrets, though, as the folder allows me to commute and thus ride every day. 🙂

It's a shame, though: next year's Sarthe will 1) not be orange (boo!) and 2) not be Campy (hiss!).

More than $900? 😀 Seriously, I think the MSRP is $1699.99.

That's not bad actually. How heavy is it?

BTW-I called the bike shop and they are holding it for me until I can give it a test ride this afternoon. 😀 I'll post pics later. 😉

My local bike shop has one in my size and they're asking $899.99 for it. Any reason why I shouldn't buy this bike? It also comes with Wellgo SPD pedals.
For $900, I suggest you jump on that immediately. Felt makes nice stuff.

Thong man is back! I missed you :wine:

Dunno. Don't care either. The thing is dead sexy and has Campy compoments (mostly -- crank is Bonny IIRC) .

Bwuahahaha!!! Excellent. Now that it's going to be yours, we can say "this thread is worthless without :camera:" 😀

Yes, very nice stuff. The Colavita-Bolla pro team has been using their bike for a couple years now.

Okay, I talked the wife into it. God, you'd think I asked her if I could buy the freaking Space Shuttle...

Meanwhile, I let her buy a $400 purse a few months ago...:roll::roll::roll::roll:

Now I just need to go down there and give it a test ride and see if I like riding it as much as I like it on paper and looking at it in person. 😀

$400 for a purse! If she spent that money, she doesn't have a right to complain about your spending issues.

Good post. Keep it up.

My shop does not have very many road bikes in stock cuz there is no market for them. I dont just sit there looking through the roadbikes so that i can become familar with FELT. If we do order road bikes they are just lower end ones.

Felt makes some highly regarded bikes. They are very well equipped for the price. $899 for an Ultegra bike? Granted it's not all Ultegra but I checked the weight on the crankset on my bike and it's actually 200g less than the Ultegra crankset. I don't know how the BB factors into that though, or if it does.

BTW-I did buy the bike. I took some pics, I'll upload them after dinner.

That looks so much better than the picture they have on the official website.

Good thing you didn't buy a Trek. 😛

Thanks! I researched the hell out of this and even joined a couple bike forums for added input. I took my time and I think it paid off.

I already took the reflectors off it, put my Terry Fly saddle on it and I'm thinking I may switch out the pedals for my Shimano SPD pedals off my other road bike (I don't like the Wellgos, they don't like to point up like they should so I can clip into them easily). I still need to install the water bottle cages and seatpost bag but those are minor and I can do them before my ride tomorrow evening.

It feels so much more responsive than my old bike. I'm happy. 🙂
