Especially considering you spent that much $$$ on the TV I think you should be able to watch it whenever you want. It's not like she's paying you in any way to be there so she really doesn't have any say. You being polite would just be a luxury for her. Whether you're polite or not really does not matter, IMO.

When I'm at someone else's place I watch what they want to watch, unless they specifically give the choice to me .. people who just assume they own the place and do what they want friggin piss me off. Savengy bastids.

she doesn't pay rent.

My g/f is here every weekend but she seriously never EVER is in the living room unless I'm there. If I'm not there then she's in my room.

nah not yet. I don't think he'll care. Even if he does I have no problem telling him I have a problem with it if he asks.

update:

I saw him last night and this morning and he didn't say a word to me about it. I'm 99.999% sure she told him what happened. I think he knew who was in the right and chose not to say anything....

This is why sharing anything with anyone leads to problems. Don't share an apartment if you can help it. Don't put your tv out there to share with everyone. When you share you can always expect problems.

maybe SHE knew who was in the right and didnt even mention it to her bf (your roommate) for the sake of him (your roommate) not thinking she's a selfish brat...

He is sharing! However, if he wants to watch HIS TV, he should be allowed to do so whenever he wants.

I'd knock the bottom out of it before your roomate got home.

^^

BTW - you have a $1,700+ TV and you are still playing Mario Kart 64?!??! Get an Xbox w/ the hi-def kit at least!

I already have one. IMHO xbox blows chunks. I already have a pc, and all the games for xbox are also on pc but usually better (on pc)

Also, I really don't play n64 much. Now the snes on the other hand, gets more use than anything else in this house...

This is exactly why my projector was put in my room so I dont have to deal with people using my bulb life. If they wanted to pay for some of it Id have no problem but naturally they didnt want to do that.

depends on the hotness scale. I would at least ask if I can relax after a long day by watching the movie...

That's why I didn't buy a projector... I knew I'd have to hoard it to myself.

I've already made it clear to the house that if my tv is left on it will get screenburn, and if it gets screenburn I will be one majorly fscking pissed off roommate out looking for revenge. As far as I can tell, most people have been pretty good about it all
