I currently have this.
Sad I know.
The deal is my roommates and I just moved into a new apartment(townhouse). In our old apartment(small arse POS) we could crank up the above system and hear it fairly well through the walls. Well in the new place I can crank it up but I can barely hear it upstairs(yes, I'm a picky bastard).
Two days ago I bought a pair of these. A nice step up for sure.
Anyway, my dilemma:
I trying to decide between punishing my new speakers and keeping the old system or selling/giving away the old system and getting a lower-end Denon or Onkyo receiver. The plus is that I would be giving the new speakers the juice they deserve. The negative is that I would be losing my 5.1 surround sound. I can't decide. I know if I sell the old system I'll be lucky to get $100 for it. I currently have the money for the new receiver but it would seriously cut into my computer upgrade funds.
What would you do if you were in this situation?
