furthermore, yes, when someone says "physician", it is implied that they're talking about a medical doctor.  that's why some chiropractors are called "chiropractic physicians".  some of the older generation chiropractors don't like that term because they think it's too medical and they abhor anything medical... to them, chiropractic heals all.  eventually, they'll die off and the profession can progress and stop being held back by chiropractors who validate the stereotypes many within the public were taught.
