I would think that the Visiontek Geforce4 Ti4200 is the better deal. You can always return it at Best Buy. I have a Visiontek Geforce 2 GTS-V and it has been rock solid. I have been using it for 8 months overclocked and it has been running fine. I have been quite happy with its performance value.
Ok I'm returning the Ti4200 tomorrow. I hope they let me and I'll wait for a better deal w/ the Gf5 when it comes out.
Return it? Why? For this cheap might as well use it until Geforce 5 is well out (Xmas time maybe). The Geforce 5 will be expensive anyway. I dunno about you, but I paid $140 for the Geforce 2 I was using prior to the Geforce 4 and it lasted me 2+ years. So IMO this is a worthy deal. BRING ON UT 2k3 baby! Gonna look great on this card!
Well, first off, they overcharged me. Second, I'm just going to wait for a better deal on these Gf4 cuz once the Gf5 comes out, the Gf4 will be cheaper. And besides, I don't play that any other games besides Counter-Strike and Brood Wars. So with what I have now (ATI Radeon7200LE 32 mb), I don't see a difference in my graphics. I can live w/ this card for another few more months. I'll buy one before I go off to college.

I just meant no hassle vs shipping/getting and RMA and restocking. I dont expect "too much" hassle since it will still be in original packaging should I decidte to return it.
well i bought it cuz i thought it was a good deal. and i guess it is warm. besides cs, i also play wc3. i got it returned hassle free so thats good. im happy. ill be even happier if the gf4 goes down to like 120 by september
Those VisionTek rebate are extremely slow to come. Remember the BB sale last Thanksgiving on the VisionTek Ti200, the rebate for those took nearly 5-6 months to arrive in the mail. Eventually, then did come.
Hopefully, BB will have another VisionTek GeForce 3 or 4 or 5? cheap with nice rebate.

yeah, my friend bought a gf3 ti200 for 99 bucks at bb on thanksgiving. i dont know if he had to send in a rebate or anything but thats a good deal. thats why i decided to buy my card from bb. well maybe it took 5-6 months because a lot of people bought one that time because of the good deal.

I've made two return trips to price match, and the $20 MIR is still active. So, total, I only paid $159.99. I didn't bother with trying to get the $10 gift card. I figured I was lucky enough to come $90.00 ahead of where I started.

man, their advertising flyer cleary states that you get a FREE 10 dollar gift with purchase of this card. Now if you want to let them charge you for it when they give it to you then that's your choice, but I am sure as hell would get that sucker for free if I ever bought this card
I even went up to one of the BB workers and he said they somehow charge u for it in the price of the vid card. They don't flat out give you the card.
What memory overclocks have you been able to attain? The R300 should be announced in 2 weeks, so I'm debating whether or not to snag this.
They deduct another $10.00 off the price of the card ($179.00 - $10.00 = $169.00) then the charge you $10.00 for the card taking the total back up to $179.99 with a "free" $10.00 gift card. So in the end, you are still getting the videocard for $179.00 plus the $10.00 gift card. Plus they only taxed the card at 169.00 since the cant tax the gift card.
I think they over charged me...

I got one of these. I actually paid 179.99 + tax, and got the $10 gift card without asking for it (which I then used to buy a 27" JVC TV and a 400W Koss theater system, both open box, interest free for 20 months =)). I get an occasional flicker @ 315/550, waiting for my ramsinks to come in before I do a lot of testing. At stock I got around 8800 3dmarks, so I should get the same performance, overclocked, with Quincunx enabled. Anyone want to buy a used MSI GF3 Ti200 VIVO?

when i bought mine the cashier rang it up, my total was $191, then handed me a gift card saying it came free with the purchase. sounds like this has more to do with who is working the register than best buy policy.
